A big thank you to Jon and Kyle (Middlesbrough) who were extremely professional in delivering our sofas. They took great care, were very friendly and even stuck some felt pads we had to the sofa feet first. Thanks guys!

The fire that won't turn on...

The fire came as planned and upon inspection appeared to be scratch free. Unfortunately, our electrician, after having wired it in and fitted it, discovered that the On/Off button was jammed Off, and could not be switched On. I went to phone Fireplaceworld, but it appears you either have to email or use the instant chat facility. Via the chat facility, Shannon, the operator, promptly organised a pick-up and drop-off in just under a week's time. Our electrician now has to 'unwire' the fire and come back next week. Apparently, under section 5.2 of the terms and conditions, Fireplaceworld are not liable for the costs of the electrician: "Whilst all care and diligence is taken to ensure that goods are delivered to you on time and in working order, delays or damage can occur due to unforeseen circumstances". I would dispute whether ALL care and diligence has been exercised in checking the goods prior to dispatch. This is proving to be a very expensive purchase! Also, I was not even offered an apology, which I find quite staggering. Let's see how this unfolds next week...

Spoilt Surprise :(

Very pleased at the price and fast delivery, but shocked that the Bose Sound system box was what it was delivered in. No plastic bag or outer box. Disappointingly, my wife answered the door, took one look at the box and realised her Christmas present had arrived! Did no-one think to even seal it in a plastic bag, like all other parcel deliveries? Disappointed. I have now had to buy additional presents for her as a surprise, so something of a false economy!!

Sorry to hear that the surprise to your wife has been spoilt, we do have TNT bags for smaller items, but the Bose sound Docks are a little to big for the bags, we send the goods out like they were sent to us from the manufacturer, if you like we can get it collected free of charge and give you a full refund.
