Dominic understood my concerns and made a quick adjustment to my monthly payments in line with my current usage. I explained that being in a rural and 18th century context ALL of the offers on cheaper energy did not apply to me e.g, solar panels, heat pumps, smart meter etc. he replied that Octopus has a priority on new builds that I totally understand but requested that Octopus look at alternative energy supply to rural homes that cannot use these. I suggested that this should be reviewed and volunteered my property as a testing site. I'm optimistic?
