Very good service from Allison Siner

Allison Siner was extremely helpful and supportive with a somewhat challenging completion process, and was always calm and professional. The experience of using such a service was new to us, but in a short while we realised how helpful it was not to have to do the chasing ourselves, especially under the circumstances. Would recommend, especially for busy people!

Agents were very helpful

Agents Chyna and Nick were very helpful in understanding the problem. Chyna had to refer it elsewhere so I hope to receive a response soon. Nick talked me through the repair very patiently.

Excellent helpful driver

My rating today is for the driver, Alex H, who was very nice and helpful, very courteous.

I can't rate for the product (trellises) because I have only just received them. I was a bit disappointed to see that the staples used to put them together look slightly flimsy, but I may well be wrong. They are guaranteed 15 years against rot, but not against falling apart!

The company took good note of my location, but unfortunately didn't pass on my request to ask the driver to phone me when he was 15 minutes or so away. However I chanced to see his lorry so it worked out.

The best opticians I have ever used!

Marta and Natalia are the most skilled, professional and understanding opticians I have ever used. Marta seems to intuitively understand the needs of the individual customer, who may or may not have had frustrations or challenges with other lenses or frames, and is able to find a solution that fits and flatters the face and nose (!) while perfectly suiting the eyesight.

Oval Eyes uses an electronic alphabetic 'test card' of changing letters, which is brilliant, as I've always been quickly able to remember the static lines of letters, making the test none too accurate as I can recall the letter pattern rather more than truly see it. All equipment is modern and up-to-the minute.

I am no expert in optometry, obviously, but I have formed the strong impression that Marta really knows her stuff.

Oval Eyes offer a stylish choice of frames, many from Spain, so not seen on every other face in the UK. There are also nice frames for children. Prices are very reasonable, and theirs is an independent business - not part of a big chain. It's locally based in the Oval and Kilburn, which you may feel encourages you to support them, quite aside from their excellent service and professionalism.

Highly recommended!

Yet another great reglazing of two pairs of glasses (reading and anti-blue light computer specs) with a 3 or 4-day door-to-door turnaround. This is my third time ordering from Reglaze Glasses Direct (formerly Ciliary Blue) and I would not hesitate to recommend them for excellent, fast service, quality reglazing and highly competitive pricing. Well done again!

Appalling company! Denied service, broke own T&Cs, & wouldn't refund value of denied service.

I bought a £216 year's Landlord Home Emergency policy which included an annual boiler service and Home Emergency Call Out service.The 247 boiler serviceman arrived in the flat's short street to carry out the boiler service, couldn't find a parking spot right there, so instead of looking in the next street, as other people do, he simply drove away, leaving the flat's occupant waiting in for him.

Upon complaint I was told I had to provide paid parking. This was a new Term of Service of which I had not been advised upon renewal for the second year - note that 247's own T&Cs say they will tell you if they change their terms, so you can accept them or not - this is a point of law. That meant I was legally under no obligation to pay for the parking, although I would happily have paid the minor Pay & Display charges, had the boiler man bothered to find somewhere else to park - as all other private and tradespeople do.

247's customer service people kept focusing on this 'unpaid' parking when in fact the serviceman had never parked in the first place! Nonetheless, customer service said service man wouldn't return unless I somehow provided a pre-paid Council Parking Permit, which aside from being in my view, unreasonable, I was not able to do as I'm not resident at the property - and he still would have had to find somewhere to park anyway! I noted out that this denial of service also therefore meant their denial of the Home Emergency Callout Service I had paid for, because I could hardly guarantee there'd be a parking vacancy in the street at any time there might happen to be an emergency. But they truly didn't seem to care - it's rare to come across arrogance like that. Since the flat occupant's safety and warmth was the important thing, I had to go and ahead and appoint another company to carry out the service, at a cost of £114.

I made a formal complaint to the CEO, asking for the £114 refund since they had denied me the service I'd paid for, and effectively, any future emergency service as well. Several calls and emails to 247's customer service were not answered or not resolved. 247's 'solution' was to offer 2 free months of cover, which since they had refused me service anyway, was obviously worthless, and frankly, insulting.

Note that 247 claims that their customer service is 'so good they don't need a contract'. The real truth is they don't care about their customers at all, not even if they are in the wrong, as they were here. If I ran a company that size, I'd certainly pay back a paltry £114 to compensate for denial of service, wasted time, and breaking my own company's T&Cs and therefore the law. So I don't think they're bothered about customer service at all. Note they are NOT regulated by the FSA, which may be why they don't care if you ask for a reasonable refund. Avoid or beware!

Update: 247 has since claimed in their response below that the engineer visited the property on three consecutive days following the missed appointment. If he did, this is the first time anyone has told me, including in all the prior correspondence with 247. If it was the case, it would have been more efficient and professional to tell me the appointment had been missed, than to hope the occupant would have stayed in for days rather than go to his work. Furthermore, the claim that 'This was after being advised by yourself that after each cancelled appointment a permit had been issued for the engineer to park' is simply and demonstrably not the case - especially as I told 247 I was unable to get them a parking permit.

We have reviewed your account notes and your complaint from the 14th July 2018 and can confirm that your complaint was thoroughly investigated, and a detailed response was issued.

We can confirm that on the 12th April 2018 an engineer attended to service your boiler and was unable to park due to no parking being available in the area off the property. We spoke to yourself in relation to your complaint about this service being aborted and we can confirm an engineer attended on the 15th,16 and the 17th April 2018 and we had the same issue with not being able to park. This was after being advised by yourself that after each cancelled appointment a permit had been issued for the engineer to park.

We can confirm that this appointment was for a boiler service and your tenant was never in a situation where heating and hot water became unavailable to use.
Your complaint was escalated to the highest possible level after your formal complaint to the managing director and our Legal and Compliance Manager addressed your concerns. While addressing your concerns the information provided in this review was communicated to yourself and it was not accepted that the engineer could have acted any differently due to no parking being available at the property.

I always trust and recommend this company because they don't automatically try to make you buy the most expensive product they stock - just the best one for your needs. They know their stock, and it arrives quickly.
