No 'gift option' and unhelpful Customer Services!
The doorstop I ordered for my cousins ' wedding anniversary was lovely. However there is no facility on the website to say it's a gift, to include a message or gift wrap. When I rang Customer Services all they could do was tell me to ring Head Office. I rang. The receptionist was totally unable to help, though on persisting I was told to ask for the Marketing Department because, apparently, they are always on the lookout for new ideas to improve customer satisfaction etc. Ummm, no, I don't think they are... although I left a message on someone's answerphone no-one has rung me back despite the fact that the person's message clearly said she'd ring back. So, all in all I am disappointed with Laura Ashley and unless something changes on the website and there is a gift option, I will not be buying gifts from them at all. After all, why have a large section called 'Gifts' and then make it impossible to actually send the item as a gift? By the way, I am not Mrs Simpson, that's my cousin to whom the gift was sent, I am Mrs Hickson who paid for the gift and had it delivered to her address. So even that is slightly farcical!!!
