A friend told me about Mallows Beauty and I purchased Candy Floss Bath Dust. Not only did the product look very eye-catching, it transformed my bath into a magical and colourful sanctuary. It smells lovely and left my skin feeling really soft. Will be buying again.

After having a particularly bad hangover and realising I couldn't carry on drinking like this, I contacted Help4addiction online and spoke to someone on the chat service. They instantly recommended me to get in touch with The Farm DayHab. Whilst in the middle of panic attacks, shakes, sickness and feeling very vulnerable and needing help, a lady told me about the Dayhab service and promised me it would be beneficial. She was very calm and listened and I felt like this would be the answer. She told me her story about addiction to drink and how the service had helped her. I believed it all as I was desperate for help.

She informed me of the price which I couldn't afford and advised me I could put it on a credit card or get a loan! In my panic I said I would see if I could get one. The lady then called me 3 times during the day to try to sign me up (talk about hard-sale tactics)
I said it was a lot of money and my parents couldn't lend me the amount. She then told me to hang on a few minutes and she could get me funding from a charity so it wouldn't cost me as much! She then advised me to get a loan for the lower amount £1800 instead of the £2499, as if she already knew she could offer me this. Looking at this in hindsight I feel I was coerced into making a quick decision whilst I was at one of my lowest points.

So after a quick check on my online banking I got a loan. Again the lady wanted a quick transfer of the funds on the promise I could attend a session the very next day and speak to a counsellor. A man then called me on the night when my funds had cleared to take my money.

For the next 28 days I attended sessions that took up my evening, listening to other addicts' stories. I completely understand why this could help some people and it is relatable but there is an issue here with people having different kinds of addictions. I was in a group with cocaine addicts, a sex addict, a gambling addict and a few other drinkers. Some things I could understand but others were a waste of my time. In truth hearing about gambling addiction actually triggered my old habit and I ended up gambling and losing money that I could ill afford to lose (something I hadn't done for over 3 years)

After completing the course I felt robbed. The 4 sessions I had with a counsellor were not helpful and all one-sided. Basically me talking about past issues and feelings and them just listening. No tips, materials or ways of quitting. I was already aware of how things in my past had been issues and I had already undertaken CBT and Counselling, so there was nothing new being brought up that was beneficial to me. The counsellor even told me I knew myself very well and could express my feelings.

I should have gone to AA for free, followed the 12 steps and spoke to like-minded people there. Also there is a ton of good books out there that actually make you see that alcohol is poison and scientifically tells you what it does to you and why you get cravings. None of this was explained in the rehab sessions. I have not attended any of the aftercare sessions and I have not been contacted to encourage me to attend. All you get is a link on a Sunday on the Pronto App. If you don't have this app there is no way of getting the link. No email is sent from them and considering it is part of the overall package, they are very poor on the aftercare service. It's like they have your money and the rest is left to you.

Also the lack of reviews on their site, FB and on here indicate to me that they don't have many happy customers or why aren't there more reviews? Considering the company has been established for 2 years.

There is also no number to call or governing body to check their credibility which did raise my suspicions to start with, and my parents, so I actually rang Help4addiction to confirm they are a genuine company.

My advice.......Go to AA instead!
