Support is awful

I've now been waiting nearly 3 months for a reply to a question from their support team... Support was good once upon a time, now it's an absolute joke.

I have literally lost thousands of pounds from this company saying one thing and then doing another. This isn't opinion, this is fact. Steer well clear.

In response to the reply, the vote was about as trustworthy as a Russian election. I don't know a single person who voted for the changes suggested. The vote was based on the number of PLU held, most of which was held by plutis.it. It was an faux democratic pantomime.

Hi,

Plutus committed to delivering key utilities from our community-voted whitepaper in Q3 2024, and we not only met but exceeded expectations by delivering more than promised in just a single quarter. See 2024 achievements: https://www.plutus.it/blog/a-look-back-at-2024-and-whats-next-3

Each of these features is unique and sets Plutus apart from other rewards systems.

The speed of development and execution of Q4 utilities and the 2025 transition solidify Plutus as the leading community-focused business in Web3 and Fintech.

For example, with PlutusGifts, we promised a select few brands but delivered over 300 across the UK and EU. While not all brands are free, we’ve provided £/€10 intrinsic value across 5 brands in each region, with more to come in 2025.

We understand some users may be disappointed, expecting everything to be free. However, as a business that provides valuable services loved by thousands, a fair fee is necessary to support the ongoing delivery of promised features that are now live.

A complete scam

A complete scam. They promise everything and then change the rules to take it all away.

"Oh, by the way, we've changed the rules and we're going to charge you over £1000 to withdraw your stacked PLU, and if you don't pay us the £1000, then we'll reduce your reward level."

A complete joke. Steer well clear!

Hi Will,

Transparency has always been a cornerstone of our product development. All upgrades and updates to our terms were clearly communicated in advance and approved by the community. No retroactive changes have ever been applied to existing reward balances.

As explained on our fees page, reward payout fees have always been dynamic, depending on factors like Ethereum network gas fees and token usage within the Plutus ecosystem. These fees were part of the system from the beginning, and have been free for a long period, and then adjusted dynamically with GAS and service fees, it’s not something newly introduced. The latest fee is always shown in the app before you make a payout, so you’ll know the cost upfront.

We urge all customers to review our official communications. While we understand that some expectations may have been misaligned, the distinction between in-app rewards and prohibited third-party use has been clearly outlined since our 2015 whitepaper, legacy terms, and throughout our marketing content.

If you're experiencing any technical issues or need help clarifying something, we're here to support you. We take real concerns seriously and are committed to resolving them. At the same time, we take false claims seriously, so if something doesn’t seem right with your account, please reach out to our support team so we can investigate and resolve it properly.

Refused to refund or replace a broken mirror

We had to wait over 3 months for delivery, by which time we no longer had a builder on site. When we finally got someone to install the mirror 5 months later, on opening the box we discovered that the mirror at the back of the cabinet was smashed. It'd had been sitting in a box untouched since arrival, so I knew it wasn't smashed while here. They denied they had to adhere to the Consumer Goods Act and refused a refund or replacement, only offering a discount on a new mirror. I was forced to claim the cost back through my credit card company.

In response to the reply - the Consumer Goods Act 2015 states that after 30 days and within 6 months of receiving a faulty product the consumer "has the right to repair or replacement" "If the goods do not conform to the contract" - which they don't as the mirror was broken.

It also states "If the consumer requires the trader to repair or replace the goods, the trader
must—
(a) do so within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience
to the consumer, and
(b) bear any necessary costs incurred in doing so (including in particular
the cost of any labour, materials or postage)."

I offered to do the repair work myself if they could provide the part as some of the burden was on me not checking the product, but that was refused.

Dear Will, I am very sorry. You were always informed about the delay and we just cannot accept a damage report after you having the product for 5 months after you have received. The consumer goods act doesn't say anywhere a customer can receive an product, not open it for 5 months and then claim for damage. You know this Will. We tried to give you a good will gesture with a discount off a new product which we did not have to do. I am sorry it ended this way. Kind regards, Tom

Avoid Goofbid.

Snipes never work, I just get the error "Snipe Failed: Confirm your account" and their customer support have never bothered replying to any of my queries. Don't waste your time or money.

I've completed 220 purchases with Purse.io now, including one item for over £1000, and saved an estimated £2622. I've had very few problems, and when there are problems the support team are usually very quick to resolve them. Highly recommended.

Review of Beast Sheds

Good ordering process and shed. A shame the installation didn't match.

The ordering process was good and it was easy to customise the shed as I wanted. Communication was good and the shed arrived on time and was up in under 2 hours. I wasn't around when they left to check everything, only my wife was here who didn't know what to look for when they asked if everything was ok. There were several minor installation issues.

1. I saw when they were putting the shed up, before I went out, that it wasn't square with the base and I asked for this to be rectified. It wasn't.
2. There were 3 screws which they'd clearly tried to screw in, two of which and had jammed in knots in the wood and they couldn’t remove easily so they just left them there projecting 5-10cm. Another screw they'd bent while putting in, obviously difficult to remove so they didn't bother.
3. Several other screws were too long, or they were over enthusiastic with the impact driver and they're sticking out the other side of the wood by several cm.
4. One of the bolt catches isn't vertical, or even anywhere near vertical.

All these issues would have been easy to rectify at the time and should have been rectified by the installers rather than me having to do it myself. I can't square the shed easily now, it's 14" by 8" and wont move.

Paying a premium price, I expected a quality shed and quality installation. The shed itself looks good so far, it's just a shame Beast Sheds fell at the last hurdle.

I bought a Redback E142CV which…

I bought a Redback E142CV which performed nothing like advertised on the website. Mow Direct did accept it back with no problems but I had to chase the refund several weeks later. My main annoyance is that I left an honest negative review for the mower that has not been published. Not only that, but I also pointed out the discrepancies between the website and the actual mower and they haven't bothered correcting any of that either.

Displaying "user reviews" but only publishing good reviews is nothing short of fraud. It's just a testimonials page.

Beware of their reviews and their website and never buy a Redback mower.

Below is the review I left for the Redback E142CV that they've haven't published.

Website specs vs reality
Run time: 50 mins vs 20 mins
Charge time: 60 mins vs over 2 hours
Lawn size: 600m2 vs 200m2
Warranty: 3 years vs 1 year
Weight: 22kg vs 23kg

This machine is nothing like the described machine. The box said it only cuts 350m2, but I phoned to check and was told the box was wrong. The assembly instructions only partially match the provided parts leaving you wondering what you're doing.

Don't bother with this machine. I ended up buying the Bosch Rotak 43 from a different company which is more expensive but comes with two batteries and actually does the job it says it'll do. It's also much lighter, easier to control and has a roller which makes edges much easier.

Worthless warranty

Ok if you're happy with slow delivery, which I was. My issue is that the warranty they offer is effectively worthless.

I had a watch and the strap broke while I was asleep. Apparently, their warranties don't cover anything "physical" that happens to the item, so if something breaks due to a manufacturing defect, that's not covered.

The will look for any and every excuse under the sun to not honour their warranty. Sealed, waterproof items are not covered for water damage. Any other damage voids a warranty. So if you try to claim because your phone stops working, they can claim a scratch on the screen voids the warranty. When will other sites realise the reason Amazon does so well is that they focus so heavily on customer service. Avoid.

Avoid if you want your own money

I've now spent over a month trying to get back £1500 they've overcharged me for my gas and electricity in the last 9 months.... Still no luck.

According to their estimate (which is higher than my actual usage), I will use £1,188.70 of gas and electricity a year. This is £99.06 a month, yet they are charging me £322.38 a month and refusing to reduce it or issue any refund without new meter readings again, which I last submitted on the 27th April, when I first asked for the refund.

Awful service. Awful customer support, awful policies, awful company.

Update:
I finally got back £1,423.48 after 4 months of chasing. Do not use TOTO Energy!
