Golf MK4 1.8t Front Mount Intercooler.
The quality is really good, welds are clean, packaged well. Overall a very decent bit of kit. The reason I’ve not rated it a 5 is it’s not a perfect fit and some of the measurements aren’t perfect and needed a bit of “persuasion”. The clearances are very tight around a few points; the chassis leg up to the throttle body, the piping sits very close to the fan pack, and if you have air-con the lower charge pipe on the near side touches the air-con pipe coming out of the condenser. Another thing is not necessarily the kits fault but I’ve found that the charge pipe that joins the throttle body hose has a wider diameter and in my case, like many I would imagine, using the stock TB hose the clamps provided slip off when tightening so I used a standard jubilee clip which creeps down and under full boost it blows the hose off, which is a pain because it’s bumper off & headlamp out. It’s solely due to the stock hose diameter reducing about an inch in, so I would recommend a silicone TB hose at the same time.
