Nearly a year later, I remain in control of the old devil that is alcohol. Joanna has kept in touch with me and the door is always open. The pharmacist sends helpful reminders for repeat prescriptions. I am now a very moderate drinker, usually just to be sociable.

I can’t help wondering if LuLu would have benefited from this simple method rather than an expensive admittance to rehab - we will never know.
