RUNAWAY *BUYERS BEWARE!*
Let's see where do I start. First service call a man put a useless chemical down the drain for a plumbing odor. Could have done it myself and he was very condescending. Second service call was a major plumbing leak upstairs. Took over a week to get somebody out who is completely unresponsive and impossible to get a hold of. Several calls to Choice and he finally showed up. Then Choice declined the work because basically the whole warranty voids the way our set up upstairs is so after suffering all that time and going through the appeal process I ended up paying double what I would have paid a decent plumber that could have come out the second day and to make matters worse he didn't do a quality job so I had to hire my own plumber and spend another $500. Then right before my warranty was ending I called in a claim for my washing machine. Of course somebody was dispatched they were a no-show and they were impossible to get a hold of. Choice then drop the ball I had to reach back out and threatened to contact an attorney. Then they redispatched somebody and a non English-speaking person came out. Couldn't understand a thing he said or what he was ordering. Called the office I was promised they would call back that was 2 weeks ago I have called several times and usually get voicemail and no call back with a message left and one time I caught the lady and she promised to call back after she talked to the technician. That was 2 weeks ago. Absolute worst experience you can't make this up. This is thee lowest quality technicians are sent out. But it could take on average 2 weeks to get somebody out. So you are left suffering for anything that's an emergency you might as well save your money for a rainy day. These guys aren't going to help you out and then they will find excuses to decline it. Good technicians out there want nothing to do with these warranty companies trust me I've called many of them. With the major plumbing issue the technician also wanted $750 to put down plastic and paper so my husband and son had to run out to Menards. The second plumber didn't even require it so it was just a scammy way to make money off you. He said that if you damage the carpet he wouldn't be liable if we didn't put it down. I have a family of five and we almost had to get a hotel luckily we had our shower repaired in the basement just a few months ahead of this but five people getting ready was torture. Then choice declined the work because he had to pull the toilet upstairs. They will pay to pull a toilet and put a seal in but not to let them auger through a toilet after it's pulled. I find it hilarious they have been trying to get me to sign up again after this horrific experience that happened again because the work was not warranted. Because the main line to auger is in the basement and all of our bedrooms are upstairs with bathrooms with their little sneaky clause washes their hands to weasel out of that one. Most of our appliances are newer and we've got good connections for electricians through my husband's work. I can honestly say I've had these warranty companies for many years and I think of all the years we've only gotten help one time and that was for a very partial reimbursement for the cost of a dishwasher. You're better off saving your money and this is a grand example of why.
