Missing Delivery
I placed an online delivery to take advantage of the 25% off wine offer. I received the email receipt and once again my wine was not available. They were still sending two bottles of the other wine but charged full price. I called the freephone number and was told I could get a voucher for the discount amount but no refund. She said I had to call back after we received the delivery. I told her we would return the bottles and just get the driver to process a refund. Our saver slot was 6pm to 10pm. I received an email saying they would deliver between 20.45 and 21.45. It got to 10.30 pm and still no delivery. I called the number again and was told they couldn't get through to the Scarborough store and I had to ring again tomorrow. By 11 o'clock we were going to bed so I put a notice on the door to not disturb and refund all the delivery. No email update the next morning so I called again. They left me on hold while they contacted Scarborough. Tracey came back and confirmed the Scarborough office will process a full refund. No explanation as to what happened. I probably won't order again from Sainburys. I checked the website and it is still saying my wine is in stock. I don't accept swaps but for people who do they will still get some business. Perhaps they did restock late on a Sunday night but the same thing happened to me last time. Very disappointed with the service but the refund has been processed today.
