Like many we have had Billy bookcases for a long time. They have been excellent products. This prompted us to buy additional units this year when we moved house. Disappointed to see the quality is not as good as the older made units.
Construction now uses a mixture of metal and plastic fittings, previously all metal. Shelf supports and the shelves not as strong as in previous units.
Shame to change a tried and tested product.
