Experiencek.com - RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!

This rating would be a minus 100 if that were an option.

I don’t recall how I stumbled upon this mini-iron (I wish I could attach a photo), but I’m certain that I wasn’t seeking it out. Perhaps it was through a Facebook ad, but however it happened, it sounded like a product that I would use when traveling. And I would have if it had worked. After using it on cotton, linen, silk, and polyester, I found that it doesn’t get hot enough to do its job. The return/refund process was an absolute nightmare and a complete waste of time because it never actually happened. I was raised on the mantra, “It’s the principle of the thing,” so I spent hours and hours attempting to recover this very nominal amount of money. First off, the order confirmation reflected the advertised product price of $32.99, and shipping of $9.99 was added for a total of $42.98, plus a statement to contact experiencek.com with any questions/issues. So, when I discovered that the product does not work, of course, that’s who I contacted. They replied, “Contact the seller.” I replied, “Order Confirmation says to contact you. How can I reach the seller?” They never answered that question but, instead, asked me to send a photo of the product, which I’ve never been asked to do on a product return, but I did it. They replied that they checked with the warehouse, and the correct product was shipped. I thought, "Well, no s**t, Sherlock – I just sent a photo of it to you!" But my actual response was that there was no need to check with the warehouse because I had already sent a photo of the product, and that I wasn’t questioning the accuracy of the order fulfillment but the functionality of the product. Then, while trying to further my request for return instructions and a refund, I discovered that I was charged $53.72! The overcharge of $10.74 is exactly 1/3 of the product cost. I have to wonder how many of their buyers never discover that this company pulls this crap. When I brought it to their attention, they refunded the $10.74 right away. But after my continued demands for a full refund of the product cost, they offered “5USD” ($5). I refused it. Then they offered “7USD”, and I refused that, still demanding a full refund – again, based on the principle that THE PRODUCT DOES NOT WORK; therefore, I shouldn’t have to pay one penny for it. Their response, “Because the correct product was shipped, I, a small customer service, am not authorized to refund in full.” This cluster F cost hours of my time to draft and send at least 20 emails – plus this post – so I’m not willing to waste one more second on it other than to warn others of this scam. It truly is a scam. THE PRODUCT DOES NOT WORK, and their claim that because the correct [albeit nonfunctioning] product was shipped equals “We don’t owe you anything,” is pure BS. BUYER BEWARE!!!
