Avoid total rip off Meat & Co XXL Whole Beef Fillet…
XXL Whole Beef Fillet steak 1.8kg - 2.4kg Nothing like the pictures requires significant trimming actual weight 1 x 1.8kg & 1 x 2.1kg
Trimmed weight 3kg made up of 1.1kg strips for stroganoff otherwise stir fry not usable for anything else. The meat resembles nothing like the picture on the website as someone else commented it looks like road kill the tail is 75% flat and the head mis-shaped so badly it is near impossible to cut anything like a fillet steak we all know.
Fillet steaks very small poor quality. Go to a quality butcher and you will pay the same price for quality meat
The wife ate some last night and has had nothing but stomach cramps all night and feeling sick. Meat & Co please don’t bother to respond as I am sure you already know what you are passing off as quality is utter rubbish and that any quality butcher would not dare sell to its customers as they would not be customers for very long.
I note your standard response and conclude from others that have dealings with Meat & Co you do not offer any way to compensate your customers whether they give you a heads up or not so I will continue to have my own opinion and do no further business with Meat & Co

Hi Neil. We would have appreciated an opportunity to discuss this with you but we've had no contact from you. The fillet of beef is our top selling product we sell hundreds a week. Its prime British grass fed beef and requires a slight trim. We can't always guarantee the shape of them afraid but we will always address any quality issues and make a fair resolution. We hope your wife feels better. If you are suggesting the meat made your wife poorly we again would expect contact from you and a medical report. Rest assured we offer for traceability on all of our produce and our our production site is BRCGS accredited meaning we have strict protocols to adhere to.
In relation to your comment regarding compensation this is not the case. We always review every case and provide goodwill where required. Obviously we rely on customers to email us before they post on trust pilot to give us a fair opportunity.
