When you realize after their special deal ends that your bill will now approach between 200 and 300 per month every month and they will not let you leave without charging you a month's fee to do so. This is exactly what President Biden is trying to eliminate right now by stopping them from letting you leave by giving you a huge final payment you must meet or else they put it on your credit.

Let them put it on your credit. File a dispute with the FCC and the attorney general's office within your city and state by doing so online is a very simple process.

When it goes on your credit you need to dispute that and tell them it was an unannounced cord cutting fee that you have no intentions of paying for. It will fall off your credit eventually but because it is disputed it will not harm you.
