E.ON Declined to install EV Charger

I ordered an EV car and then contacted E.ON as our energy supplier to fit an Ev charger. They were not the cheapest but it was convenient to use them and there was a £50 discount as an E.ON customer.
After providing all the details and photos I was advised they would not install as it was shared access land. There is access to a path further up the side of the house for access to my back gate and 2 neighbours back garden. The land is marked on the land registry as belonging to me. I got quotes from 2 other companies after this knock back and neither had any concern. I was ready to cancel the order for the car. I got a top notch Ohme installed within a week from a local company and saved money.

Hello, I am sorry to hear we were unable to fit an EV charger for you. I have investigated this for you and I can see you did not have any private parking. The cables would have to cross public land and could cause a trip or fall. We have to follow specific safety regulations that we have to adhere to so I am sorry again we were not able to install for you. Thanks Thomas.
