Limited customer services when things went wrong

The walk round assessor was very nice. He was polite and considerate. And was the reason, in the end, we decided to go with these removers. Good Customer Service. Also we did know of some of the people who had given reviews .......

Day of move, one small van arrived and the comment was we had not shown everything we were moving
In fact it was less than we had said we thought we would move
2nd van ordered
In the middle of day one we found out our buyer was not ready to complete
Furniture went into storage

Agreed to deliver back at original property or new address 2 days time as they had no space next day to
accomodate this

Time was agreed, but a phone call explained due to traffic they would be over an hour late. Traffice didn't seem that bad at that time. everyone was surprised and then later the manager called asking if the move had finsish so they didn't know about the delay

When they did arrive it was four people who at times thought the whole thing was a game, not as professional as the first crew when leaving our home
There were items missing which we were told had been delivered but since have been found and delivered

However since the delivery (end of April) we have tried to contact the company re the items that have been damaged and broken 'it is one of those things' is the comment from one person we managed to speak to
One of the dining room chairs according to repair specialist can't be repaired as it had been dropped on the leg. AND to add insult someone between collection and delivery had tried to poorly mend the chair and not tell us. Perhaps the reason for the delay as reported and not the traffic
These chairs are not made anymore according to the supplier
Then there was the box of Denby china that was half broken, pictures sent with no comment recieved
and the kitchen chair that looked as if some one had stood on the spire of the chair and snapped it
And the large wooden chair that the arm moves slightly
The back of the wardrobe is damaged
Another dining chair has been put against the garden chair and paint is on the wood of the dining chair
Not even a sorry .......

So considering how many times we have moved over the years, across the sea as well as over land I would rate this move as the worst we have had!

Another strange thing was the demanding of money to be paid before they would leave the premises, And as our mobile signal did not work being taken to a place were the signal did work. I would have preferred to use a bank transfer

It is regretful that we have had to resort to using this media to contact the company when a conversation and good customer service would have easily resulted in some resolve, Lack of their communication with us makes us question if indeed they are insured and if our items were insured.

So no I can't recommend although to be fair the people on the orginal move day were considerate
