For my needs now in retirement Quicken only acts as my checkbook. However it becomes a much easier way to simplify things. Before I retired I took the Quick Books program and with some subtle changes turned it into a full business tool. I developed a job cost tracking method, an inventory control method, a payroll method and an accounts receivable and payment method. I used this to run a multimillion dollar business for many years. Quicken and Quick Books have been invaluable to me.
