I needed a radio having a small footprint and a good sound to fit on a small side table
The Monty model filled the bill and impressed me when it arrived with the excellent sound other reviewers had remarked on from such a cabinet veneered in real wood.
If a user does not wish to leave it in standby mode there is an on/off switch on the back near the base.
For me a better location would have been at the back near the top : a more natural location for the hand
Others may or may not agree ,after all who listens to an on/off switch?
