An order for a netball post has missing parts. On calling the helpline, I’ve been told no spares are available and that not only would I have to return the item to the store, a straight exchange is not possible which would mean ordering and travelling yet again to collect the new post when it is available. They also can’t guarantee that the new post will have all the parts. This is such shockingly bad customer service when something has been purchased in good faith, to be told I have to make 2 extra trips is unacceptable. Why is it not possible to organise an exchange in store for a faulty product (which would be acceptable)? Also the staff member I spoke to was extremely rude and didn’t let me finish my sentence without interrupting and then put the phone down on me. I suggest you train your phone operators to better deal with customer complaints other than just diverting them to head office and ending the call. It’s an absolute cop out when I’ve already called the “helpline” and when the product is faulty. I’d rate it 0 if that were possible.

Hi, I am sorry the netball post you purchased was missing some parts and we were unable to get these out to you. Items purchased in store do have to returned to the store should there be any issues. A replacement would be available immediately as long as the stock is available, if not, we can usually order another in to collect but this can sometimes take a couple of days. I will log your comments with the relevant team for feedback.
