I decided to stay with my current…

I decided to stay with my current provider after studying the figures and realising they were not much different to what I was paying. Despite receiving an email from them on 11th Jan 21 to confirm the cancellation, they decided to take out the first direct debit payment and kept emailing to day welcome. I held for 40 minutes the first time I rang and the second for 20 minutes, at which point they cut me off putting me through to the cancellation team. When I initially decided to cancel I called snd spoke to a man who gave me grief about cancelling. I am now holding on the phone to my bank to see if they can help. Scottish Power do not like customers who change their minds and cancel!
