Failed to provided promised fibre
I have been with UW for 5 years and take just about every service, dual fuel, telephone, broadband, mobile phone. Recently ordered an upgrade to fibre broadband because, no doubt due to the amount of people home working, speeds were too slow on the standard offering. Having been told fibre was available from UW and been quoted a price and been given an approximate go live date but having no confirmatory email I called to get a firm date only then to be told that “we are monitoring the situation” it took hours of phone calls to establish that they could not offer fibre to the property (even though others Including BT and Vodafone could) but were waiting for a customer to cancel, an extremely unlikely event. Having no choice I decided to go with another provider, UW have now emailed me stating that my overall costs may go up because I no longer take all their services notwithstanding that I only moved, at additional cost, because they could not provide the service they agreed to. This is very poor indeed
