So I have a 2019 Smart Car, 11 months old low Milage (4600) in excellent condition, £11995 new.
The car is not being used as I now have a company car,I don’t need to sell it for as I don’t need the money but as it’s not being used I decided to move it on to make room on the drive way.
We want any car offered an online valuation of £7387.00, it was a little lower than I expected but after consideration I phoned and agreed they could have it, they advised on the phone they would visit, inspect and make a final offer based on any defects found on inspection less £79.99 admin fee, so I agreed.
The car inspector arrived early, very pleasant and completed the inspection and test drive, agreed there was nothing wrong with the car and said it was in excellent condition he then contacted his office and then came back with an offer of £6700 less the admin fee, I declined he called the office back they raised the offer to £6800 and no admin fee which again I declined.
I don’t understand if the inspection results had no issues and the inspector said the car was in excellent condition why would they try and knock the car down by £587 for no reason.
Approach with caution it seams this company will give false promises online and try to reduce the offer for no reason. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
Shame to have wasted everyone’s time, even more so costing there company money for a wasted visit.
However the inspector was a very nice person and this review is in no way against him.
