numerous returns, refunded in full
Long story so i'll keep it short!
1st order: blind arrived damaged, packaging damaged. Numerous chips in wood and shards of unfinished wood. Edges of blind not finished. Mounted it to find cord release was stuck. Fiddled with cord, got it to work. drop was 10cm too long so slats would not tilt enough to get proper blackout. Sent it back.
replacement 1: Replacement did not arrive for 10 days. Phoned them and they said the replacement had been damaged in shipping so they were producing another one!
replacement 2: Arrived damaged. Packaging damaged. Metal housing bent, was able to bend back into shape. Mounted it. Extremely stiff and heavy to operate. Drop now 2cm too long.
Arranged to send back for full refund offered by company. Courier never came. Arranged AGAIN to return. was collected. No refund. A week later contacted them for refund. Was told it had been actioned and I should see credit to the account within 5 days. Still no credit. Correspondence ongoing.
LESSONS:
Their packaging for large heavy blinds is completely inadequate
Large heavy blinds need a heavier duty cord operation mechanism than smaller blinds. Beware if ordering a large wooden venetian blind from anyone!! You may struggle to raise and lower the slats!
