STAY AWAY FROM BMW LIVERPOOL
STAY AWAY FROM BMW LIVERPOOL – MISLEADING SALES & ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY
I purchased a brand new BMW 7 Series from BMW Liverpool in 2018, trusting the salesman (Riz) to guide me through the finance and GAP paperwork. Like many consumers, I relied on his expertise. A year later, I received a call from the manager at the time informing me that Riz had manipulated the documents and kept funds paid directly to him. He was later dismissed, but the damage was already done.
Recently, I was involved in an incident and had to make a GAP insurance claim, only to discover that the paperwork had been altered. I am now dealing with the Financial Ombudsman and urgently need documentation from BMW Liverpool to support my case.
Despite weeks of calls and follow-ups, I have received no meaningful support. I’ve spoken with Ian, the current new car sales manager, who has not returned my calls or provided assistance. I was told I’d hear back after they spoke to their Head of Business, but – unsurprisingly – I never did. When I called again today to request the Head of Business’s email address, I was told it couldn’t be given out. That’s deeply concerning, especially when the issue stems from misconduct by their former employee.
This dealership has shown a complete lack of responsibility, communication, and customer care. The BMW itself was fantastic, but I strongly advise anyone considering BMW Liverpool to look elsewhere. Once they’ve sold you the car, they disappear – even when the problems are of their own making.
I bought a used car from BMW Williams…
My husband bought a used car from BMW Williams in June 2025.
We were very disappointed with the sales person, he was so inefficient making a number of mistakes one of which was filling in the V5c form incorrectly, not once but twice. As a consequent of these errors I have had to write to the DVLA explaining the errors and providing proof of purchase. Over a month since collecting my car I still haven’t got the correct V5c.
The Sales persons whole attitude was very lax and it was one of the worst experiences I have had while buying a car.
Avoid
Paid over £500 for a service on my 5 series waited a while to collect car and was told it was due to cleaning the car
I got the keys went to my car and it was a mess I had the car cleaned before I gave it to them and in a day they messed up the floor mats left oil marks on the crème leather and the outside had a sticky substance all over it. Had to get it valeted again today. I complained and have heard nothing back from them. I keep my car immaculate and this was a very bad experience Think twice before using them
I bought a BMW X4 from BMW by Faye…
I bought a BMW X4 from BMW by Faye Wilcock a year ago, and the entire experience has been extremely disappointing. I had to drive all the way from London to Liverpool just to collect the car, only to find it came with just 6 months MOT – something I wouldn’t expect from a premium brand like BMW, where a full 12-month MOT should be standard.
The staff were rude and dismissive throughout the process. I had agreed before purchase that the car would come with a warranty covering cosmetic damage, tyres, and alloys. However, when I arrived to collect it, they refused to provide the warranty. It then took three months of back-and-forth calls and emails just to get a refund for something I was promised upfront.
To top it all off, after only a year of use, the washer fluid system is already blocked – which speaks volumes about the quality.
Very disappointing experience overall. Not what I expected from BMW.
100% recommended to anyone!
100% recommended to anyone, I've had my bmw x5 in for recall work and a quick look at an issue on the vehicle,
From start to finish I have been away in greece🌞🍺, they have kept me updated completely throughout and my car is now back home ready for me getting back Monday 🙌
Big thank you to cerys, wonderful member of staff and very well mannered see yous in the future ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It’s not all negative. Quality service!! A*
The reviews made me nervous, but I guess people feel more compelled to write negative comments, than they do positive.
It’s the world we live in.
But my experience was nothing short of what I expect of BMW.
I expect to treated with respect and courtesy and for BMW to understand my needs.
In return I expect to pay a premium for a quality service and product.
That’s what I got.
From initial contact with James (Liverpool), negotiating a sensible price for my car and the nearly new one I wanted; completing numerous documents; through to collection. It was seamless.
When James was on his days off, Luke (sales manager) knew my case inside out. Stepped in to answer my questions, and provided the professional reassurance that everything was going to plan.
Pick up day was great. A long drive to Liverpool. The BMW centres is spotless. Looks the part and what I wanted.
My car was charged up and I had plenty of fuel to get home safely.
My car looked fantastic. I was over the moon.
After a brief recap of key features, I was on my way.
Follow up call from James the next day, just to check everything was fine.
Utterly professional service. Really pleased with the car and won’t hesitate to use Williams again.
You staff are dishonest
Scratched my car when washing it then denied even washing it in the first place. Mercedes next time I think.
I dropped my car and mentioned 2 issues…
I dropped my car and mentioned 2 issues (battery and tier) when I collected my car they said everything is ok 2 days later I faced same problem. I sent 2 emails complain unfortunately no one replied to me.

I bought a car just over a week ago from
Danny at Williams, Liverpool. The purchase process was very good and professional.
However I have struggled with the car having come out of a 4x4 and I wanted to discuss alternative options, the communication post sale has been non existent and I am still awaiting a phone call from management to discuss possibilities moving forwards.
Williams Liverpool – Misleading Pricing and Disappointing Experience
I’ve bought several BMWs from the Williams Group in the past, so I expected a high level of professionalism and honesty. Unfortunately, my recent experience with Williams Liverpool has left me extremely disappointed.
I originally sent a family member a link to a BMW 5 Series they had listed for sale. When they enquired, the dealership said they would send a video demo, but shortly after, they claimed the car had already been sold. However, just a day later, the exact same car reappeared on their website—with well over a £3,000 price increase.
This feels like a bait-and-switch tactic, where a car is advertised at a lower price to generate interest, then falsely claimed as sold before being relisted at a higher price. Whether intentional or not, this is misleading and raises serious concerns about transparency.
I’ve always trusted Williams in the past, but after this experience, I’ll be thinking twice before dealing with them again. If you’re considering buying from Williams Liverpool, be cautious of sudden price hikes and questionable sales practices.
Recent purchase of used approved car
I recently purchased a used approved car from BMW Liverpool and I’m absolutely amazed by the professionalism & level of service received from Christian. Christian was attentive, listened to exactly what I wanted and ensured the process was smooth, non pressured with prompt clear communication throughout. He was extremely knowledgeable in his field and continuously went the extra mile to make me feel like a valued customer, always taking the time to answer any questions I had and stayed true to his word. The handover experience was made to feel special unlike any other dealership I had previously experienced! He made sure I was fully aware on how everything in the car worked along with setting me up on the MyBMW app before I left. He’s an absolute credit to the company and I highly recommend Christian / BMW Liverpool. I will happily be travelling up from Manchester again in the future whenever I’m in search of another car!
For gods sake, go elsewhere if you can!
I can not begin to know where to start, but the lack of customer care with bmw service recently has been nothing but shoddy,
My car had to go back 4 times and the issue was never fixed, wrong diagnosis, Sent home with my car with bits missing off it, the staff really do not seem to care..
it’s been woeful, the best thing I done was remove it from their care and take it elsewhere! Came back with much better service, cheaper genuine parts/ labour costs and my car actually put back together properly
Faye Wilcock looked after my purchase

Great comms, great product knowledge and lovely customer care.
Disgraceful!!!
Disgraceful!!!! Prices through the roof tried to add all kinds on spark plugs on a 2yr old car ! Oh an I had my key ring stolen here !!! DO NOT USE
There is a reason they are so poorly rated.
Found a car on autotrader as Williams BMW approved used 'reserved' it with £100 deposit. Was then asked for £500 deposit. Expecting the car to be in on 24th June, chased twice that day to be told the car wasn't theirs to sell and they would offer the deposit back, in 3-5 working days. The car was placed as an Autotrader ad, we were told it was coming in as part-ex and would be in on delivery day of new car. Really, really poor communication, selling tactics and experience with Williams Liverpool and not my first bad experience with them.
Williams Liverpool SHOCKING PRICES!!!!
What a shock my 5 series contacted them saying 1st oil change and micro filter required They quoted me £427!!!! Yes you read it right!!!!! I nearly fell off my chair!!!! What a rip off I’ve booked it in elsewhere for £250 inc vat at a BMW independent. Williams and BMW prices are a rip off beware!!!
Great service department
In the servicing department I love the fact they give you a timeslot rather than a full day like Merc does. Updates and a very friendly from of house that keeps you informed.
Terrible service. No wonder why they have low rate here!!
Had my service 8 weeks ago. They identified that one of the tyres need replacement. I asked to do it on the same day but they mentioned they had no stock and that they’ll order it. I agreed. Booked another appointment and they confirmed they’ll do it. Went for the second appointment, sat there for AN HOUR, only for a gentleman to come and tell me that they don’t have my tyre!! I’m a doctor so honestly going there uselessly to spend my time in Williams for my service not to be done is very disappointing. Only thing they offered is to order my tyre and book another appointment (THIRD one). Could have done it anywhere else but they wasted my time. Not the first bad experience with them but I’ve always been trying to find excuses but I’m honestly fed up . My next car will 100% be another make other than BMW and Mini so that I don’t have to deal with them again
Great service and a great car
Great service and a great car. Dealt with Jake and he was spot on. Sorted everything out and great to deal with. Would recommend.
Repairs take months!
Our mini has a fault due to the EGR recall and it's going to take them months to repair. There are no courtesy cars available so, due to the length of the repair queue currently, we're unlikely to have a car for nearly 2.5 months. Williams think this is acceptable. We would never buy another mini and certainly wouldn't recommend this dealer.
