I found Taps Spares Uk on an online search to find parts to a Howdens kitchen tap that was not only dripping but leaking water at the base end of its spout. Todd of Taps Spares uk, who I explained my problem to and sent photos identified the tap and was very supportive with the ordering and guidance to curing the tap from its condition. Receiving the delivery of the new parts for the tap a day or two later it wasn’t long, by following the Taps Spares video link before the kitchen tap was restored in good working order. I was very happy with the outcome, saving the cost for this simple job if I was to employ a plumber.
I would most certainly use the service of this fine company again.

The clock? No, a drip the kitchen mixer tap.

So a quick visit to TapSparesUK to see if we can get a replacement cartridge and success! Except, the supplied cartridge didn't fit due to the non-standard arrangement of our kitchen tap (NB you can't have too many standards but some take that idea to the extreme - would you believe how many different varieties of splined ends there are for a supposed standard item?).

So back to TapSparesUK for a bit of "What am I doing wrong?" advice.

Todd apologised for the incompatibility and commented that this is not an uncommon event with old and discontinued tap makes and offered a freepost return which I accepted.

But there's a bonus! Todd also mentioned that while TapSparesUK were unable to proffer an alternative that would fit he advised that I should check with Tapmagician to see if they might have something in their range that might fit. And they did! - now that is what I call excellent customer support!! (even though I wasn't eventually a successful customer TapSparesUK were able to direct me to the right place for the part I needed).

The drip is now no more, one might say that it has become an ex-spurt which probably amply qualifies it for enty into service with our government.

Bought a pair of ceramic tap washers , and of course , not simple getting the right one .
Fortunately Todd was there to take me through the process of how to select , then how to fit the new ones .
Service was patient and help was at hand to advise till at last , no drips .

I didn’t know which valve cartridge my dripping tap required but the ‘find my tap’ page directed me to the correct type quickly. Delivery was quick and the parts sorted the problem.

After many months, putting up with a dripping tap and having been sent the wrong cartridges from another supplier Tap Spares UK were knowledgeable, informative and only willing to help.
Todd was extremely helpful, identifying the taps i had and the replacement cartridges i needed from photographs i emailed to him.

I bought an O ring kit for my tap and when I compared it to the ones on the tap they looked too thin, when I got the O rings off the tap they were the right size.After fitting them the leak stopped. I found the easiest way to get the O rings off the spout was to get a thumbnail under them.

This company is truly excellent! Their availability of spare parts and customer service is exceptional. I was told by a Homeserve plumber that because I had lost flow in my kitchen cold tap and I didn’t know the make of my tap in my new build home, I’d have to replace the whole tap. But Todd and the really helpful team at Tap Spares UK saved me money as they were able to quickly ID my tap and the replacement ceramic cartridge, which was reasonable priced. They had a helpful ‘take a photo’ service and were back to me in minutes. They also went out of their way to give me the instructions manual, should I want to replace the part myself. I am very grateful for the money saved, not impacting the environment by wasting a perfectly fine tap, and most of all the ‘can help/will help’ attitude of this company. I wish every company would have these values!

Absolutely excellent customer service from Tap Spares UK, and after my horrendous experience of very poor customer service this was very refreshing. Support in relation to the required parts needed was clear, precise and even when my ordered parts were initially lost by Royal Mail Todd very quickly sent replacement parts with no grumblings at all. Despite the fact that I’d only be spending about £10 on a set of spout washers for a kitchen tap, Todd was very responsive, asked questions that helped him confirm the right washers and went out of his way to help. Best customer service ever. And the tap ID section of the website is a joy to behold!

Tap Spares UK offer an excellent service as well as a good range of spares. My Franke Triflow was leaking and Todd was very helpfull in establishing which model I had and the type of washer/cartridge I needed. He also provided a link with fitting instructions so I didn't need to call a plumber at additional cost to myself. A good company and ask for Todd if you want excellent service.

An efficient and speedy service, most appreciated in view of the need to deal with a leaky tap swiftly. I could not fault this company and would not hesitate to use it again myself or recommend it to others.
