Our car has been left with WET floors. My car was perfectly FINE before this garage touched it. We still hold you accountable for not handing back the car in the condition it was given to you in. It had NO issues. It is for the garage to fix these issues not for us to pay to have a fault fixed that you created.
I took my X3 in for its first MOT in September 2025 to BMW Sytner in NOTTINGHAM on Lenton Lane. I was met by a patronising man, who was talking to me as if I did not understand English ( I am asian). He made me feel very uncomfortable and literally forced me to have a service. He pressurised me and I ended up agreeing. He should not have made me feel like this. He came to tell me the MOT had failed due to wires hanging out of the tyres, which is utter nonsense as the car is fairly new and has not been driven much. No wires were present on inspection. Also they highlighted the tread on the tyres which was in the legal limit. I told him I would not be changing the tyres so he failed the MOT. Also the video they sent outlining the work was poor and lacked detailed information. Clearly this mechanic was very poor. Another failure by the mechanic. They went onto supposedly complete the service. Five minutes after driving away, the engine warning light came on. This is disgusting for such a reputable garage to hand a car back that has not been checked. Apparently, they do 3 checks before they hand the far back. The sales manager told me this. These checks were clearly not done. At this point I did not trust BMW Sytner in NOTTINGHAM on Lenton Lane so I took my car to another garage and on opening the bonnet, the mechanic showed me wires that were undone and screws that had not be secured. It was a total mess. But he also said the tyres were fine and the MOT should not have failed. BMW Sytner on Nottingham were clearly trying to create unnecessary issues which add cost. I then contacted BMW Sytner regarding their NEGLIGENCE. It was a battle to get them to accept their fault which was clear to see. If I had gone on the motorway with my children that day as I had planned to, the car would have gone limp and it could have been highly dangerous. I also lost earnings that day aswell as my brother who helped me tackle their NEGLIGENCE. We lost out on a lot of earnings. At first the response via emails was inconsistent, rude and felt like a threat. One email said this is our final offer! This clearly indicates they were at fault as they were threatening me and wanted me to go away. They returned the MOT and service money again this shows they acknowledged they had made a mistake. But what about our loss or earnings and the risk my family and I would have been put through if I had gone on the motorway. I need compensation for that. My car was handed over to an incompetent mechanic who has now WRECKED my car. Since this whole dangerous debacle at BMW Sytner in NOTTINGHAM on Lenton Lane, the floor of the passenger side is soaking WET. My car was perfectly fine before BMW Sytner ruined it. I hold them responsible for my vehicle now being wet. They said they would look at it and on my next visit, I was met by 3 men opening my bonnet and telling me they did not wreck my car. This was very intimidating. Why did 3 men come to say this to one woman. Is it a guilty conscience. This was very uncomfortable. I was told in order to find the fault, 'THEY HAD CREATED' it would cost me approx £600 plus the cost of the actual work that would have to be done to correct it. I am disgusted by BMW Sytner in NOTTINGHAM as they have wrecked my car. It was perfectly fine before I took it to them. I bought a BMW as it is a trusted and historical brand but I feel totally let down as my car is now off the road and I can not drive it. BMW in Nottingham ARE responsible for the state of my car. They need to be accountable for leaving my car in this condition. I am very traumatised by this whole incident. Careless and incompetent staff and service. This mechanic clearly did not know what he was doing and has damaged other parts of my car. They say it is not related to the MOT or service but if that was done so incompetently, then I know this mechanic did not know what he was doing and has left me with a hefty bill to rectify his negligence. I will reiterate my car has low mileage. It is not driven out of the city and only used for short journeys. My passenger side is wet due to bmw's incompetency. Also I will be asking for compensation for the loss of earnings and time plus the potential danger we could have been subjected too.

My experience with Sytner Nottingham was very disappointing. After paying a £500 deposit on a used car, I decided not to proceed. From that point the tone changed completely: they tried every possible tactic to dissuade me from cancelling and then claimed I should pay a fee because they had moved the car between branches — something entirely under their own control.
When I insisted on a refund, the process became unnecessarily painful and unprofessional. I was told to email my bank details, then that bank transfers were “not allowed due to AML rules”, then asked to give my full card number so it could be written down and passed internally. It took repeated chasing and threats of escalation before someone from the accounts team finally called to process the refund correctly.
The whole experience felt manipulative, poorly managed, and unsafe in the way customer payment data was handled. I would strongly advise others to be cautious and get refund terms confirmed in writing before paying any deposit.
We had a great experience with Sytner as always, we’ve brought many vehicles from them, and everytime it’s always top class service and kyron was also great he provided us with a very thorough explanation throughout the process of everything and was a genuine pleasure to deal with, thanks again Sytner bmw Nottingham and kyron!
