I have a Swisshaven puppy. Beautiful dog. Healthy, excellent pedigree, a number of Diablo's siblings have qualified for Crufts in 2024.
I have all documentation, medical histories and I am a bona-fide part of the Swisshaven family.
I see Trust pilot is allowing trolls post reviews. A rival breeder has posted on here a poor review. How can this site be seen as ethical when trolls are allowed to post?
Kimberley's premises has been reviewed by the RSPCA and nothing untoward resembling the vicious slander has been found. Can the rival breeder(s) say the same?
Kimberley has become a terrific mentor.
I initially tried to get a puppy from a rival breeder who is trolling this site and got messed about.
My credentials and professional status will stand up to inspection. Have trustpilot checked out.the trolls?

Took £500 deposit, never followed through, then completely ignored me after I asked for it back when it was clear she didn’t have any dogs.
I’ve then received threatening messages from her son.
Terrible people who should be avoided at all costs.
Edit - since writing this review I then received several more messages, still refusing to return my deposit but wanting me to remove my review or she would take further action.

My experience was very similar to those on here. 500 gbp deposit taken but no puppy. Lots of excuses and no response when I asked for the return of my deposits. I recommend avoiding and certainly DO NOT part with any money to go on the waiting list

Please ignore all of the 5 star reviews against Swisshaven. These are fake profiles that have been set up by the owner (Kim). I have dealt personally with Kim who took a £500 deposit, which was never returned and no puppy either. This is a dangerous lady with severe mental issues. (And no I am not a breeder and therefore not in competition with her). Just a very disappointed client who had a terrible experience (like many others!).

Reiterating what a fantastic breeder this is for Swissies and Rottweilers! Also noting that reviews that have been verified are those with a tick against the profile picture (people can and have added a picture but please note this does not mean it has been verified in any way). Verified accounts are those that are proven to be real individuals not false / made up people -you have to prove you are the person against government documentation eg your own passport / driving licence! You can also see who is verified and who isnt when you hover over the picture which confirms the account has been verified. So my posting is most definitely real and not false in any way, I live 4 hours away from this breeder thats how much trust we have in her! Ironically the only two reviews have been verified are those that have given a positive ratings confirming it is a genuine review from a genuine verified and real person!

When you see a good review for Swisshaven, take a look at the poster and check they are a bonafida person and not just a fake profile. You can clearly see the last two posts are fictitious and are actually Ms Barton herself in one of her many false profiles.

I have known Kimberley for more than 18 years now and although her waiting list is long she does breed the best so worth the wait! (I have waited 2 years for 1 of our girls). Also she doesn’t breed her females more than once per year and will never use an unhealthy dog. She provides a lot of knowledge and assistance guiding the new owners throughout the pets life. I have been to her house on many occasions. All her dogs are friendly, well behaved and beautiful. They are temperament and heath tested and all their paper work is complete. Her puppy pack brings lots of extremely useful information and she is always willing to help with any issues but the new owners must follow what she is advising in regards to vaccines, training, feeding and exercising.
It is hard work to bring up a large dog so if you don’t have the time, money and patience to do so better not to.
I recommend Swisshaven 100%.

There is an ongoing case where we all contribute and help to having her shut down, and to save those dogs she is starving and abused. Please don’t buy a puppy from her ever!

We were continually asked to give more money. Later we found out that this lady is a puppy farmer and has over 10 dogs in her tiny tiny home and the conditions they live in after seeing it first hand is disgusting please don’t buy a dog from this woman you’re literally encouraging puppy farming, she will woo you by telling you everything working with other breeders but please please please don’t let it fool you. We were stung so bandleader by it and had to go to court. The dog warden has been trying to take her down for years as she doesn’t have a license. Genuinely call the dog warden ask if she has a license you’ll thank me.

Swisshaven and Kimberley Barton/Herring/MacDonald are fraudsters. They take £500 deposit to secure a puppy that is not even born. Some are lucky, or unlucky, enough to get a puppy but many never end up with a puppy or their deposit returned. Ms Barton has 8-10 large breed dogs in a small estate house with a very small garden. They get very little if any exercise or socialising. Mos have temperament and health issues. She says she does all the health testing but this is a lie. She no longer does any eye testing. She claims to send her x rays for hips, elbows and shoulders to USA for scoring but I believe this to be a lie as well. None of her dogs are temperament assessed before breeding. Many of her breeding dogs have hip scores of C or more. She is breeding hips scores of C to C. She does high inbreeding. She lies about all the other UK breeders. She is unhinged.

Horrible nasty breeder who should be stopped. Breeding far too many puppies in such a small home. You won't be allowed into the house to meet the bithces and puppies. All curtains closed and what is she hiding. Her dogs are not socialised and are fearful. I would NEVER recommend. NO STARS

We bought a puppy from Kimberley Barton (MacDonald) in 2016. We were completely naive about pedigrees and had always had pound puppies. As there are so few "breeders" in the UK, I started to make enquiries, which she jumped on. Basically, she told me that she was the best, stay away from other breeders (don't even talk to them) as hers were the only pure pedigrees. Others had bred epilepsy into the breed, lameness, etc, etc, etc. Funnily enough, our puppy had had the deposit paid but they'd never turned up for her. I got the day wrong for collecting her and she wouldn't let us in, with the excuse that someone else was coming.
Whilst we adore our girl, she has had multiple health issues - bad skin, prone to lameness, potentially hypothyroidism and gets really aggressive over food. We also bought another puppy a few months later - again she had had the deposit paid but they had never come to collect her. Something that constantly occurs on the Swisshaven page. It's so sad seeing dog after dog being handed back to her, with pathetic excuses such as the owners are moving away, they've had a new baby, etc. Our second pup, we don't think is 100% Swissy, is developing cataracts and is very reactive and anxious. She also wanted our first pup to have 2 litters which I could whelp. And she would have the pick of the litter and sell the rest (whilst we did all the work) and we could keep one! We have since found out that as our dog, the puppies would belong to us and could not be shown as Swisshaven pups. We "co-owned" both dogs (something I would NEVER do again) and this appeared to give her the right to order us around and even ring to shout at our vet! I really do think this women has psychiatric problems and believes a lot of her own lies.

As the title says, please do avoid these dog breeders at all costs!
We wanted a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog for our family and reached out to the owner (Kim) in June 2021.
We received numerous puppy pictures and to secure a puppy, she requested a £500 deposit. We thought this was a bit excessive (especially as the puppies weren't even born yet), however, as it is quite a rare breed in the UK we put the deposit down (July 2021).
She confirmed there was a short waiting list and we would be allocated a puppy by the end of the year (December 2021) providing the pregnancies were successful.
No puppies in December, so we were told Spring 2022. More excuses so again no puppies in Spring. We were then told Summer 2022, at which point I said if no puppies available, we would like our deposit back.
Surprise, surprise, no puppies in Summer 2022, so I asked for our deposit back to explore other options. 8 weeks now and still no return of deposit (family members dying, no online banking facility, unable to leave the house to go to the bank, etc, etc!)
Don't get me wrong, I do believe she breeds Greater Swiss puppies, but clearly has a huge waiting list.
She takes the £500 deposits and then uses every excuse under the sun to say that puppies are not available.
In summary, please avoid these breeders at all cost unless you want to pay £500 (which you won't get back) for nothing!
