I purchased a Volvo V40 from Redgate Lodge in December of last year. My experience was deeply disappointing due to serious issues that emerged immediately after collection, suggesting a complete lack of checks prior to purchase.
Immediately after leaving the forecourt, I discovered a fundamental issue with the fuel cap/filler mechanism that made it impossible to put fuel into the car. The car was rendered useless, and resolving this basic fault caused three weeks of extreme inconvenience and disruption.
The problems did not stop there. Just recently, I have had to spend an additional £1500 replacing a major pipe (coolant pipe) which indicates deeper mechanical faults were present in the vehicle.
Given the immediate failure of a basic function (fueling) and the subsequent 1500 expense so soon after purchase, I cannot recommend this dealership. The quality of their vehicle preparation and post-sale care was completely unacceptable.
To be left with a bill this large as a single mother so close to Christmas is disgusting.
The warranty they sold me is also completely useless.
I would avoid at all costs!

Went to look at cars on a wednesday( knew what I wanted )Drove my knew car away on the Thursday. Andy the salesman was very helpful and informative and I didn't really have to do much. Everything was quick and simple in a nice clean organised setting. Refreshments are available 👍
