Maribel is the best!
Maribel is the best!! I have tiny veins and every time I go to get blood drawn it takes the phlebotomist 2 or 3 tries on the left and right arm. Maribel was able to draw blood on the first try! She is a gem. 😊
Worst customer service ever do…
Worst customer service ever do not go to them
I'd give a 0 rating if I could
I'd give a 0 rating if I could. I took my son in for routine blood work on 5/19/25. In September of 2025 I received a "Past Due" bill stating that I owe $8603.03 for services! For a one time visit that lasted around 10 minutes!???? I called my insurance company, and they stated that the claim has already been paid out to Quest and my amount due was $53 which I had already paid.
My insurance company stated that Quest initially attempted to bill $15,000 for the blood work! When they refused that, Quest then submitted the 2nd bill for $8603.03 which my insurance again refused, stating it is not my responsibility. My insurance paid the "legit" part of the claim and denied the rest stating it wasn't the patient's responsibility to pay.
My insurance offered to do a 3-way call to get this sorted out but then we were told it would be a 30-minute wait time to speak to someone at Quest. So, I later called Quest on my own to sort it out and after waiting about 40 minutes, the rude customer service rep offered me the option to pay the amount over the phone. I stated that I had spoken with my insurance, and that they told me these appeared to be bogus charges. The rep stated that the bill might have something to do with my deductible. I told the rep that Quest needed to call my insurance and sort this out and my insurance company had requested they do so. Quest stated they wouldn't do that, and my insurance would need to call them. I could see this was going nowhere fast, so I hung up the phone in frustration.
I called my insurance company again and they stated my son's deductible is $250 so they have no idea where Quest would get the idea of an $8603.03 (not to mention the original $15,000) deductible. My insurance company stated they would call Quest on my behalf to sort this out.
After about a week of waiting, my insurance called me and told me it had been sorted out. They stated if I received any other bills for that outrageous amount, to ignore them.
Thankfully, I haven't received any further bills in that amount. But I am still receiving a $53 bill which was already paid (see above). Plus, they've also deducted two bills right out of my checking account - One for $24 and another for $2.97. I have no idea what those are, but it looks like I'll have to call my bank now and see if they can deny any auto-deductions from these shady jerks at Quest.
My advice.... stay far away from Quest!
Exceptionally rude staff…
I was at the Portage North Medical Center in Ravenna Ohio. The staff at this location is exceptionally rude. The person at the desk, never looked up (I assume a volunteer) never greeted anyone. Just sat and read her book. The technician called my name and after that never she said anything either, not a hello, where we going, nothing. After that I gave her my information. She said that I didn’t have any orders. And never said a thing to me after that, so I got up and left. I don’t understand why this is such and unfriendly and rude place. Will not go here ever again, it is too frustrating and unfriendly. I wish I could give it a zero rating.
INVISIBLE WITHOUT APPOINTMENT
TWO HOURS WASTED!! They had 14 scheduled appointments and I was second on the standby list.
The check-in kiosk stated I would probably have a 30-60 minute-wait because I was a walk-in. I looked up every time the phlebotomists opened the door to call someone and I was NEVER called. I never left the room either. After 90 minutes in the quiet waiting room, I noticed my name was removed from the TV monitor. I asked why my name had been removed. They claimed they called me twice. I spoke to Supervisor, Erica G., who was unapologetic, and she had me sign in all over again as a walk-in. Of the 4 phlebotomists they had working that morning, none of them could say they actually called me. It seems they were eager to get me off their list to lighten their client load. I waited another 30 minutes and then left. I only came here because the location at Metropolitan permanently closed. I never waited more than 20 minutes at Metropolitan Quest as a walk-in.
What a horrible service at the Fredericksburg location! I DO NOT recommend Quest on Fredricksburg at all!
Find a better lab
They say you have to make an appointment even if you are just dropping off samples. Good luck if you don’t know how to do it. However on the internet it clearly says you don’t need an appointment for drop off. Avoid these idiots at all costs
Very bad customer service
I came to the office at 8:30 amwothout a appointment and the system had only 1 non appointment before me. By 10:20 am their was still 1 people before me. When i ask , the lady only said that they don't think that they will fo theeainting list before closing. If they omly said that earlier i could have found another place that actually provide service. This is the last time they see me at any of their locations.
1 star is 1 star too many
1 star is 1 star too many. I unfortunately experienced the same as most. It took quite a bit to eventually get through the call tree. You know, press this for that to get to another press this for that. After 5 minutes of that eventually an appointment was scheduled for 2 weeks later. On the day of my 7am appointment, I got up late and rushed to get out of the house to arrive at 7:10am. Well, as I raised out of the house I forgot my wallet and phone. I waited tried to check-in as with a lot of medical facilities, but this place wanted scans of the identification provided which was in my wallet. I waited for a receptionist or someone to observe or care that I was on the other side of the plexiglass museum counter, to no avail. Finally, I asked is there anyone here that can assist? A male came out and asked can I help you? I said, I only live 5 minutes away and I forgot my wallet. Could I still get my lab work done? Using professionally trained wisdom, discernment, and discretion he then proceeded to look at his watch and offered up a revelation. He said, well it’s already 7:15am. Saying … you could reschedule or wait as a walk in to see if there’s an opening. As I walked out, he did say “Have a good day”. I gave 1 star for that.
Spent all day fasting
Spent all day fasting. Paid my previous bill. Arrived and the ride arrogant technician told me his computer says I have an outstanding bill and so he can't do my blood work. i showed him the screen shot of confirmation of payment and the email confirmation but he just said sorry can't help you. Terrible never using this place again. The technician should be sent to some kind of customer service as he is terrible at his job..
Never take a baby/child to Quest for labs
If I could give zero stars, I would.
I visited the lab yesterday to specifically ask if they had experience drawing blood from a 15-month-old child. They confidently assured me that their staff was well-trained and capable.
However, when we came in today, it was immediately clear that they were not prepared. The staff had no idea what they were doing. The way they handled the baby was distressing—for both the child and her mother. It was a traumatic experience for everyone involved, and after all of that, they still failed to draw any blood.
This was completely unacceptable. If your team isn’t equipped to handle pediatric draws, you need to be honest about that upfront. Don’t put families through unnecessary stress and pain.
Started to make an appointment on my…
Started to make an appointment on my iPhone had to switch to my iPad a hour and a half on the website cause it kept spinning and wouldn’t go to the next page. You would think if they make you go to the website to make appointments they would have a sufficient website that’s capable of handling appointments. It’s disgusting how poor of an operation they run
Called Quest’s main line 866-MYQUEST…
Called Quest’s main line 866-MYQUEST and wasted over 40 minutes of my life. On hold forever, finally get a rep, and before I can explain anything, they transfer me… straight into another hold queue. Over and over.
This isn’t one location’s fault this is a company-wide failure. If you can’t handle calls, don’t advertise a number. Nobody should have to go through five transfers just to get an answer.
Super slow!!
Super slow!!! They are seeing one person at a time but have 7 workers and 7 rooms in the back. Avoid this company. You would be better at the emergency room or hospital for labs
Understaffed, no human in the lobby
There is no human in the lobby, just a check-in terminal pad. This is unacceptable in an area where many patients do not read English, and many elderly are unfamiliar with computer gadgetry. The techs always seem stressed, and every few months, they are different (big turnover). Also, the fact that you have to *make an appointment just to drop off a specimen* like a 24 hour urine is ridiculous, that's how understaffed they are.
Mean and unprofessional unsanitary unsafe blood draw
My tech is the spawn of s@tan! I sat there an hour while they yelled at me because they could not figure out how to enter the coding Terrifying they hold a needle in hand and use it as a tool to hurt you. My technician did not wash hands and did not follow health safety protocol for the patient such as proper handling of the needle tips, clean hands and putting the gloves on in the end only to protect themselves yet contaminate the syringe that is going into patient. Also stating personal information loudly while another patient is sitting next to me behind a curtain. This is clearly a breach of the HIPPA act.
I have come to the conclusion that is is one or all of the below?
1. Quest diagnostics treats employees horrible thus the employees take it out on the patients.
B. Quest is a lousy company that hires lousy employees.
C. Quest simply does not care.. There is no way a person like this should ever be working in the public eye with needle in hand
Manager is a disrespectful human being
My wife Kristine had an appointment for a Drug screening this morning at 10:40 AM at the Bonita Beach location 9550 Bonita Beach Rd SE Unit #107, Bonita Springs, FL 34135. My wife was refused service for the sole reason that children are not allowed inside the building. Policy is policy, I get that and no one should ever be in favor of breaking the rules. What did upset me is that the Manager at this location is a disgusting human being with no people skills whatsoever and automatically assumes that every individual who walks in to do a drug screening is guaranteed to be a dishonest person who is trying to get away with something wrong. My wife brought my 3 year old boy and 3 month old baby girl with her because I work full time, at an office, just like everyone else, and we do not have child care nor anyone available to watch the children while she goes to perform this screening to obtain a job like any other diligent contributing member of society. That manager was nasty, cold, and inconsiderate and proceeded to discriminate against my son for being incapable of sitting and waiting for a minute or two while my wife attempted to carry out her exam. What are we expected to do when we are not advised of "company policy" and the staff on-hand treats any person as if they were a criminal? Are we supposed to be OK with that and simply leave? My wife lost her job exactly 7 days prior to giving birth to my daughter and has desired nothing more but to get back into the workforce while we try to figure out child care solutions AND maintain 2 careers as everyone else in The United States of America does. How do you think hearing all this makes me feel? And I rarely feel the need to complain about anything but this is just beyond wrong. Please do something about your disorderly employees who have no respect and consideration for what could be going on behind a mom with two kids. This is simply disgusting and disrespectful. You should find another job where you are rewarded for treating others like an animals right off the bat with no pretext.
Stay away from the Margate FL Quest Diagnostics
Even if an appointment is scheduled waiting times are very long. I waited for two hrs. Then the customer care is extremely poor at the Margate Florida site. The instruction for the stool samples were not given correctly and the wrong tests containers were suministre. No written instructions were provided. I had to do the test twice. This site is very poorly managed. Customer care classes are required by all personal. And the front door needs oil or needs to be properly installed. Is an accident awaiting to happen.
I haven't had a chance yet to get…
I haven't had a chance yet to get results and deal with billing. However, I wanted to report on the scheduling and actual blood draw experience. I had to phone in to schedule. There is no option to speak to a person. It is apparently a nation or region-wide system and you have to choose the specific facility you want to go to. You have to sit and accept or decline each one, so it takes a few minutes just to identify the right lab. Every step of the process was like that. Very, very, very long. Then it disconnected. I had to start over. When it was all said and done it took me 20 minutes to schedule a simple blood draw. No way around the call tree and the limited options it gives you. When I arrived at the lab, again, there were no people. No signage just a kiosk to sign in. They were several minutes late, and there was no greeting from the Phlebotomist. Just said my name told me where to sit and that was it. No words. She took my blood and managed to utter the words, have a nice day. Even the blood draw was the slowest I have ever experienced. This was because the Phlebotomist had to enter all of my information into the system. I had entered information and scanned my cards at check in, but once I was in the room, she had to enter it into the system?? I saw no other human beings. I don't want to ever go back. Scheduling was The Most Frustrating experience imaginable and the in person experience was....isolating.
Worst experience EVER in every way!
I was sent here by my doctor for a full Functional Panel, which was 7 tubes of blood work. The tech did not verify my name with the labels placed on my samples, not sure who ended up with my blood test results, and I was billed over $2000 for this draw. The lab manager contacted me to inform me of this error after my physician reached out about the lab results coming back wonky, they promised a full re-draw at no cost to me. Then they billed me AGAIN for another $2600 and threatened to send me to collections! Luckily my physician was able to step in and have her Quest Rep clear it up, but this should never happen with anyone's blood! The waiting room was filthy, you have to use an electronic kiosk to "check in" and then waiting around when you've been fasting for the day is just terrible customer service.
I spent 6 hours talking with Quest Customer Service Representatives who were not understanding, helpful or able to do anything meaningful in light of the lab tech's blatant mishandling of my blood .. they actually demanded I just pay thousands more! What a terrible way to treat a patient you already wronged! This place is absolutely terrible.
I only use Access Labs from now on, they get results back in 24 hours - their prices are reasonable and they have awesome customer service and support!
Never go to Quest, ask your ordering physician to send you anywhere else but here.
I would give zero stars if possible. Just terrible.
