Driven by a remarkably simple concept - to make quality, authentic Italian food and ingredients available at affordable prices across the UK. Nifeislife first earned its stripes for introducing its Buffalo Mozzarella di Campania to London's top restaurants. With its limited worldwide circulation and Denominazione di origine controllata' (DOC) quality-assurance mark, it became the company's best selling product, generating mainstream interest and securing a firm following from customers keen to sample other artisan Italian products.

Just seen that a lot of people have experienced short expiry dates with them. No response. The team offered the same items that made us sick and then never heard from them again!!!

Despite I always liked the variety of products they offer (unfortunately reduced after brexit, or often out of stock), the quality and service is dramatically worsened through the years.
Fresh goods arrive smelly/rotten most of the time now, while several of the other products have a short expiry date. There is no refund option for spoiled or damaged products.
Another pain point is the delivery service they use. DPD never follow the delivery instructions, and the boxes often arrive damaged.

Excellent choice of products. I am Italian leaving in Scotland and yes… I could be very picky 🙂. The delivery was perfect, the boxing of the goods perfect as well. Grazie Mille Nifeislife!

Terribile customer service so good luck when placing an order. My order which was meant as a Christmas gift never arrived and for a whole week they were unreachable and took no action to help me. I am still waiting for a refund. Stay away from these incompetents

I ordered biscuits, pasta and tomato sauce and all the items were delivered on time (the time I had chosen on the website)
This retailer has a wide selection of products. Many of them aren't Italian, but I don't mind that.
Prices are advertised with VAT. When you put something in your basket, you're told the minimum order is £30 without VAT. I'm not entirely sure why I need to order £30 of goods and pay £10 delivery but I can't order £5 of goods and pay the same delivery charge.
Up to this point what I've said is a mild inconvenience. I put some soft drink cans in my basket. There was a significant bulk discount when purchased per case of 24. There was also some dried pasta which was £1.49 down from £1.99.
I had my basket ready to go but I was called away from my computer. The next morning I went back onto my laptop, clicked through to the checkout and found that the bulk discount on the soft drinks was gone and the dried pasta was now £1.79
There was now a banner advertising a discount code with £10 off and Free Delivery for orders over £70. I had over £60 in my basket so I added a few things, as those would end up "free". At checkout the £10 discount was applied but this brought my total below £70 so the delivery was no longer free. I added a few more things. I then found out that for a £7.90 delivery slot within the M25 the "free delivery" discount was applied but not for a £10 delivery slot outside the M25, using one of the "Friday vans". The customer is able to pick a delivery date far in advance. This is a really good feature for a retailer that sell refrigerated products
I found this whole shopping experience really irritating.
I understand bulk discounts reduce handling times, especially for things like cases of drinks. The retailer should decide what discount to offer for this and then leave it alone. Likewise, I fully agree with retailers dropping prices to manage stock, especially on perishables (I have seen other reviews by authors who don't seem to be sympathetic to this concept) but for dried pasta it seems strange to reduce a discount from one day to the next. I realise this isn't a national retailer but if you offer free delivery just make a blanket offer and factor in that the cost will be variable.
We order from Nifeislife regularly and vouch for its quality and reliability. I have written and expressed the same to its 2 Italian owners and Ms. Vasileva.
I ordered Speck and vitello for spezzatino. The expiry dates are fine. My only issue is that the delivery arrived about 45 minutes after the 2 and a half hour delivery slot. A larger selection of meat and cheese (how about Stinco prosciutto?) would be appreciated.
I ordered an expensive order from this company and recieved NINE dented tomato tins - all of them expensive. I emailed twice and got no reply, and tried phoning several times, again no reply. Don't order form this company!
I have been a regular customer for a decade or more. I would say that the quality and availability of fresh products such as mozzarella and mortadella have slipped considerably over the past couple of years. I keep ordering mortadella as I remember if was excellent in the past and I still hope it will be again. These days mortadella from NifeIsLife is salty, greasy, and very thickly sliced ......
Excellent customer service. Timely responses to customer inquiries and concerns demonstrate the commitment and professionalism of exceptional service.
For the third and final time, they have sent goods with an expiry date just 2 or 3 days away. Despite my complaints, this issue persists. This will be my last order. The customer experience has been very disappointing, especially since there are many other options available for purchasing quality Italian products.
Excellent products not easy to find in UK. I strongly recommend it and really cannot understand such a low average rating. I ordered several times in the last years.
missing 18 bottle of water
- Panna Still Mineral Water (1.5L) 12
- Uliveto Lightly Sparkling Mineral Water (1.5L) 6
but there are not missing from the final bill
I recently ordered two Kinder eggs with the mario kart toy to be delivered in two weeks.
I have received only one mario kart egg and another marvel egg.
Niceislife did try to reach out to me to notify me, although unfortunately I was not contactable at that time. A marvel egg was put in as a replacement for another mario kart egg as two were not available.
Although a replacement egg is better than no egg at this stage, I am still very disappointed that my order was not fulfilled. I bought the two mario kart eggs specifically and expected Niceislife to hold them until the date required. If the items I order might be out of stock by the time they are due to arrive, then I will order from somewhere else next time.
Although I appreciate their efforts to resolve the situation, I am disappointed overall with the outcome.
Very good experience, amazing bread and focaccia. Their delivery super fast.
I have used them for the first time. Website is easy to navigate, and has a good variety of good quality Italian foods. I booked the next day delivery, between 11am and 7pm, and the order came by 12pm. The delivery person was polite and friendly. Very good service.
What a great shopping experience !
The website is fantastic with a fabulous range of Italian foods including fresh fruit and veg that you just don’t see on other Italian food sites
I’d originally wanted to order fontina cheese which is so hard to get hold of but couldn’t resist other cheeses to try with staples you just can’t buy unless you’re willing to pay an arm and a leg for
I found prices reasonable including lemons from sorrento for no more than supermarket prices !
Ordering was so easy
Delivery by dpd quick and easy
Within 48 hours and you can choose your delivery slot
Great communications
All packed safely
I can’t say just how impressed I have been with this experience
All in time for New Years Day which is what I’d hoped for
Highly recommend the site and will certainly be Using them in the future
One of my items arrived damaged and unusable - have emailed the company twice now for refund and yet to hear back. Very disappointed as we spent a lot and first time using- won't be using again!
Very poor service. Poor products. No one answers the phone or replies to emails, Trading Standards are looking into them.
