Rubbish experience DONT WASTE TIME AND MONEY shopping here. Never had such a non professional, commercially incompetent approach to returns. Of course one wouldn’t have had to return the item if the sizing was in any which way correct, but it was patently not.
Terrible Customer Service – Still Waiting for My Refund
I ordered several items from MC2 Saint Barth in France. While I liked most of the order, one bikini didn’t fit and I returned it. FedEx confirmed they received it weeks before I even got any acknowledgment from them.
I emailed them multiple times asking about my refund — no answer for weeks. Only after I filed a chargeback with my bank did they suddenly reply, saying they couldn’t refund me because of the dispute. Convenient timing.
Trusting them, I canceled the chargeback and even provided an official statement from my bank confirming closure. Despite this, MC2 kept stalling, asking for documents, ignoring their own obligations, and finally telling me they can’t process my refund until weeks later. My bank confirmed they could have refunded me at any time — they simply chose not to.
This company is holding onto customers’ money and wasting time. I still don’t have my refund, months later. I have never experienced such unprofessional and dishonest customer service.
I will be reporting this to consumer protection authorities in Italy and the EU. Their designs may look nice, but they absolutely do not deserve your money or trust.
Swimming shorts started to come…
Swimming shorts started to come unstitched after only a few wears. Their website has no customer support or contact information. Will never buy this product again. And will be telling all my wealthy friends not to buy this expensive product, swim shorts were very pricey. And to post on every social media site with pictures of my swim shorts falling apart.
I ordered a pair of swim trunks and I…
I ordered a pair of swim trunks and I paid $165. A bill from Fed Ex came in the mail for $58.15! I had to pay an additional $58.15 for duty taxes?? I wrote the company and they responded that at the end of the purchase there is a small box (which you have to expand) that states that additional taxes can be charged. It's very shady and NOT customer friendly at all. Not at all open and honest!
Caution: Awful Customer Service
I purchased five polo shirts for approximately 750 Euro and returned four of them. It took nearly two months to receive a refund, and even then, only three items were reimbursed. The company misrepresented the status of the refunded items, and customer service was unhelpful and unreliable throughout. Product quality was acceptable, but the overall service was highly unsatisfactory. I will not purchase from this brand again.
Based on numerous similar reviews, the company appears at best to be completely overwhelmed, and at worst to be engaging in malicious business practices. Dont purchase anything at MC2 Saint Barth!
Misleading “Free Shipping” – Hit with £111 Extra Fees
I placed an order for £362 with MC2 Saint Barth because their website clearly advertises “Free Express Shipping for orders over £200.” What they don’t tell you up front is that you’ll be hit with huge hidden costs.
When my order arrived in the UK, FedEx demanded an additional £111 in duties and taxes before they would release the parcel. Nowhere during checkout was this explained. The retailer hides this in small print in their shipping policy, but the bold “Free Shipping” headline is misleading and deceptive.
When I complained, their customer service dismissed my concerns, insisting it was “clearly stated.” It is not. This is misleading advertising, plain and simple.
If you are in the UK (or outside the EU), be warned: your “free shipping” order could easily cost you 30% more than expected. I am filing complaints with the ASA and Trading Standards about this.
deceptive business practices and appalling customer service
After reading other reviews, it's clear my recent experience at the MC2 Saint Barth store in Le Marais, Paris is not an isolated incident. I feel it's my responsibility to warn other customers about their deceptive business practices and appalling customer service.
The problems started when an employee provided inaccurate information about a product, which directly influenced my decision to make the purchase.
Immediately after the credit card was swiped, I realized the information was incorrect and I asked to cancel the purchase. This is where the truly shocking customer service began. The staff refused to cancel the sale, claiming their software "won't allow it," which is a completely baseless excuse. When pressed, they changed their story, stating that the store owner was "on vacation." In a desperate attempt to pawn me off, they pointed to a man who had remained completely silent and uninvolved throughout the entire ordeal, claiming he was the "store manager." His refusal to engage or offer any help made it clear that they were simply lying to me to avoid resolving the issue.
The entire team acted as if they were trained to be unhelpful and deceitful. It appears that once they have your money, there are no guarantees and no willingness to resolve any issues. The lack of transparency and a complete refusal to offer a solution is a significant red flag. I am highly disappointed in their behavior and strongly caution anyone from making a purchase here. It's unfortunate that such poor business practices seem to be a consistent issue at this location.
Very bad quality of the linen shirts
Very bad quality of the linen shirts. I washed the new mans shirt the first time according to the manual and it just ripped the whole way down… I wrote to the customer service, after several reminders I got a message, that I mistreated my bag and therefore they will not exchange the product. After making clear we talk about a linen shirt (we sent fotos all along) they just sent the same text with shirt in it.
We will never buy this brand again!
Very poor quality product
Very poor quality product. Couldn’t return it then got stung for £50 ‘import duty’ on my delivery from FedEx. My total order was £160 so cost me £210 for two poor quality t shirts. Beware.
Very poor quality product
Very poor quality product, ridiculous price. Even worse customer support.
Bought a swimming pants and it was thorn within the first week. Contacted customer support and the concluded that it was a sign of normal use.
No warranty.
What a scam. Do not buy stuff from this brand.
Wrong item shipped
They have sent me a different and a cheaper item from what I ordered and they refuse to acknowledge their mistake by telling me that the order was shipped with the right item, even if I sent them photos of the label and the product itself, which of course is totally different from what I ordered. They responded to my initial mail, in order to investigate the matter after 2 weeks, so that I don’t even have the right to return the product back. They operate exactly like scammers, even if they are a famous and expensive brand. Even Chinese brands won’t follow this shameful strategy. The customer service is totally useless and if your order from them, it is a risk that you will be scammed.
Terrible quality. Terrible customer service
I was sold a very expensive linen shirt (£130). I wore it twice. On the second wash the sleeve detached from the shoulder. I went back to the Kings Road, London store I bought it at. The manager was hostile from the outset. She whatsapped her HQ and told me they said I could neither have a refund nor a replacement and the damage was my fault. Which was ludicrous. I then emailed the customer service email. After two weeks they responded saying the damage was "wear and tear" (how? after two times of wearing?) and they would not be refunding me. Really unsatisfactory.
Complaint about MC2 Saint Barth x…
Complaint about MC2 Saint Barth x Pantone swim shorts
I purchased these MC2 Saint Barth x Pantone swim shorts expecting a premium product. Unfortunately, after only a short period of light use, the front logo patch began to unravel and fray – which is completely unacceptable for a product in this price range and brand category.
The fabric and overall construction seem fine, but the stitching and detailing – especially on the prominent front logo – are of very poor quality.
I reached out to the manufacturer directly, but they refused to acknowledge this as a legitimate defect. I find this response highly disappointing and not in line with what one would expect from a brand that markets itself as high-end.
At this point, it feels like I paid for the name rather than for actual quality. I cannot recommend this product to others who are looking for durable, well-crafted swimwear. I sincerely hope the brand reconsiders how it handles quality control and customer feedback.
The customer service does not exist
The customer service does not exist, the online return process does not work even though I ordered from the EU. That’s a pity. I thought it was a recognised brand.
I take it to the consumer protection office. It’s illegal not to accept returns within the EU.

Linen shirt poor quality and colour not consistent - was a good brand but not any more..
No refund to UK even if their sizing is inaccurate. Do not buy from this website.
No refund to UK customers - do not buy from this website- Why do you have a UK website if you are not willing to service UK Customers? Customer service have given no help. I bought a swimsuit for over £140 and £10 shipping on top of this. It is not clear on the website, and I bought it whilst in Spain so not sure that it came up, tho they've been clear that I ticked a box.
The swimsuit in Large is far too small for me, although I checked the sizing on the website. I am a standard UK 12 and it should have been huge if it was sized correctly.
Really poor customer service for what is purporting to be a quality brand - they're certainly charging plenty.
I've offered to pay the postage to Italy and everything, and they have refused. The UK is hardly an outpost of the world. Shocking.
Do not order from the brand
Do not order from the brand
I ordered one bag only : however they shipped two bags and charged twice .
Regardless of numerous emails they did not rectify .
They ignored all emails instead of trying to rectify
If you are outside Italy and in Australia you cannot return .

NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES FOR UK customers.
Poor customer support, and QR code didnt work. Then it did matter any way because we received this message on email.
"Upon reviewing your request, we confirm that returns or exchange are not allowed for order placed from countries outside CEE as per our policy stated on our website."
Postage bill after delivery from FedEx -£47!!!
Received my shirt after paying £10 postage. Very nice. Followed by a request for £46.88 postage to FedEx which Mc2 said I had to pay!!! What an absolute shocker!! Terrible response from MC2…do not purchase in the UK unless you’re expecting an enormous postage cost to follow.
