Larissa Clinic Istanbul (Larissa Health Group )- Scammers

Hi there. I would like to leave my honest feedback about Larissa Health Group (Larissa Clinic) in Turkey.

I traveled to Turkey with my sister, both of us for surgeries. We were promised 24/7 care and assistance. However, from the very first day, we were treated terribly by the clinic’s nurses — even though we tipped them. I reported their behavior to the main nurse in charge from Larissa Clinic, but nothing changed. Only two nurses were kind and helpful. The rest were rude, unprofessional, and many didn’t even know how to find a vein properly, causing pain and discomfort.

Right after surgery, my sister urgently asked for a container because she felt sick and was going to vomit. The nurse replied, “2 minutes” and disappeared. As a result, my sister vomited all over herself. This happened 3 times. How can anyone treat a post-surgery patient like that, especially when no one else is around?

Even worse — they forgot to open her surgical drains after the operation. My sister started feeling unwell, and when the doctor was finally called, he discovered the drains were still closed. When he questioned the nurses, they lied, claiming they had only recently closed them. It was clear they behaved differently when doctors were present.

2. Extra Charges for the Clinic and Hotel

I requested to stay one extra night in the clinic due to feeling unwell and was charged €100. At the same time, we were still charged for the hotel — a clear case of double billing.

3. Hotel Conditions

We were promised a 4-5 star hotel, but in reality, we were taken to a dirty 3-star hotel in a remote area, full of cockroaches. Unfortunately I can’t attach pictures and videos in Trustpilot. Our room was never cleaned during our stay, even after multiple requests to the front desk. There was no soap or shower gel — just shampoo. Completely unacceptable and far from what was promised.

4. Lack of Aftercare and Nurse Behavior

On the way to the hotel, our nurse promised to visit us before our departure to change bandages and explain how to take care of our stitches. On the day before we were due to leave, I messaged her in the morning — no response. Hours later I texted her again, she finally replied saying she would come at 5 p.m., but then canceled. Only after I expressed frustration she agree to come, saying she would do so “only because of us.” When she arrived, she showed a very unprofessional attitude, as if we were disturbing her or had invited her for fun — which was extremely disrespectful considering we are post-op patients.

She didn’t properly explain how to take care of our wounds, left some of mine exposed and open, and showed no concern for possible infection. There was no follow-up from a doctor at all. No one checked our results or recovery status. We were left to figure everything out on our own.

To make matters worse, while at the hotel, she spoke negatively about another patient simply because the patient had called her late at night for help. Very unprofessional behavior for a nurse.

5. Surgery Issues

I had a tummy tuck, BBL, liposuction, and breast reduction. Before arriving in Istanbul, I was shown a doctor whose work I liked on Instagram. However, upon arrival, the doctor was suddenly changed without any notice, and I wasn’t told the new doctor’s name. On the day of surgery, I met a completely different doctor — I couldn’t even find any information about him online.

During surgery, I was told that I had lost too much blood and they couldn’t finish the tummy tuck. I asked for a refund or a written guarantee that the rest would be done later. The nurse said I could come back anytime and there would be no issue. But when I asked for written confirmation, she handed me a typed piece of paper with non sense sentence,no clinic stamp or doctor’s signature — only her own. She told me, “I signed it myself.” Since when does a nurse’s signature carry legal weight for a surgical guarantee?

We had originally agreed on a follow-up timeframe of 1–2 years, but she wrote “6 months” without consulting me. Considering they had already lost my deposit invoice once and asked me to resend it several times, I have no reason to trust that paper.

Conclusion

After all these issues, I messaged the clinic manager — no response, no apology, nothing. I also contacted the clinic owner, Ecem, who completely ignored me. I asked to refund my money, of course they refused and after never responded. They simply took the money and disappeared.

About surgeries, our BBLneeds to be redone, and the result looks awful. During my surgery they said about bleeding and blood transfusions but nothing was mentioned about it in my report, as per my doctor in Canada, it’s mean that they did something wrong during my surgery.

Please do not deal with this clinic. They are careless, unprofessional, scammers
