What a fabulous company
What a fabulous company.
Terrific infrastructure and built community. Great seamless cloud service. Good engagement level with customers... and the jewel in the crown.... the products and software.. you guys Rock.
I know have the Insta360 x5, and the flow pro 2 gimble... I feel a sense of pride every time I use them.
Only element I don't like, is the gold loyalty points, they are too low a value for our levels of loyalty and spend. Only minor element I can say.
Keep going and I cant wait for the Autumn s/w update.
I absolutely despise this software
I absolutely despise this software!
I've owned several 360 camera from various manufactures who all use their own software bespoke to their product. Every other brand I've owned has worked fine, no troubles. I've owned the Insta 360 software now for over a year.
I have problems with the 360 camera itself crashing, this happens occasionally when I'm taking multiple 360 images in relatively quick succession. I also have an issue with the touch screen in the sense it's very easy to change the settings by accident just by handling the camera.
The software however is my biggest gripe. It is full of glitches and constantly crashes. You spend hours sorting it out, deleting apps and other software it doesn't like only to be greeted days later with a software update and the problem starts all over again! I've had enough of Insta 360 now and won't be buying another.

Very poor communication from support
We bought an Insta after 10 years of gopro. I use it primarily for Skydiving and base jumping. We were recently in Fiji and Australia. We used the insta for snorkeling in various places. It stopped working while Snokeling. It wont even turn on. It was just over a month out of warranty when it failed. We have contacted Indta explaining it should not fail when its being used well within it parameters, and according to consumer rights it should last at least 2 years. They responded to our first email, but several emails later we still haven't had a response. Weather they are taking the product back or not communication would of made this whole process a lot easier. Im going back to gopro 👍 Id just like to add this is the first time I have ever given a negative review, and that my Ten Years with Gopro I never had this problem.

I am extremely frustrated with how this situation has been handled. I purchased a brand new Insta360 X4 back in August, and from the very beginning the unit was defective. Since August 18, I have been in constant contact with the service center, and my camera box has now been shipped back and forth six times!! it is now the beginning of October!!!
On top of that, I was previously told to keep the camera, and now I am being asked to ship it back yet again. This has caused unnecessary delays, wasted time, and has completely shaken my confidence in the service process.
At this point, I am requesting a clear and final resolution: a brand-new, unopened replacement unit sent to me immediately. Continuing to recycle the same defective or refurbished units is unacceptable, especially after nearly two months of repeated shipping and communication.
Please confirm how you will resolve this without requiring me to send the same package back and forth yet again. I expect this matter to be addressed fairly and promptly.

Very terrible and slow customer service. I ordered a bundle which came with the camera, covers, etc but it was suppose to have a motorcycle mount. The mount wasn't included even though I paid for it and its taken over a month of back and forth emails to come to the conclusion that "We talked to the warehouse people and they said they shipped it". I hate that I bought anything from them. I will never support this company again. Im only buying knockoff accessories that I need for what I'm already stuck with.

Editing GO 3S clips is actually fun. The quick-cut templates are great and save me tons of time when I'm just sharing daily stuff with friends.
Buyer Beware
We learned of this product and company at a recent off road show. We spent lots of time talking to the sales rep and asking what we thought were the right questions.
Including when we would receive our order.
First we were told the order would be processed on Monday.
When I asked if it was shipping from China we were told that it would ship from the Ontario CA location.
I then made a comment about about my concern of paying an unexpected tariff for an outside the USA shipment. Again they assured us this was not the case.
We explained that we had an event in October and hoped to have the camera by then which they assured us we would.
So they took our payment and then handed us a tablet to enter our shipping information.
Today is Friday and I reached out to the company to ask about a shipping tracking number.
This is where things went wrong…..
Today I find out that first it takes 1-2 weeks before they will even ship the item.
Next it is in fact coming from China. Shipping from there will be several weeks not to mention now an unknown tariff charge and to add a little more salt to the wound the government is in the process of a shut down. So what this means for customs and how much longer it’ll take to get my order.
I’m beyond disappointed with both myself and this company. I’m disgusted that I fell for a sales pitch and even more disappointed that they would be this dishonest.
I’ll be contacting my bank and see what I can do. In the mean time I hear the product is ok. But a business who operates this dishonest and distasteful I can only image how things would be if things go wrong.

Very friendly and was able to send back my device within the time frame I planned on using it. The device came back looking brand new. Thank you insta360 team for your help. Quality product and quality people!
The x5 nightmare
The Insta 360 x5 is down as being waterproof, but after fitting it to a motorcycle and then getting caught in a rain shower on my return home, it stopped working, they told me to dry it out by removing the battery door and battery, but on inspection found no water ingress, then after 24 hours on there advice I refitted the battery and door, but when I turned it on the back screen was flickering, so I got in touch on the chat and by email, I spent days trying to send it back, they are a total nightmare to deal with, also they lie, they tried to blame me, I had even taken out the flex cover but still nothing but trouble, after 10 days I finally got a new camera body and a free £15 memory card, I had bought all the kit and it ain’t cheap but I would not recommend using near water, I think it leaked into the front microphone ask on playback of the last clip the sound stopped working at they point, anyway do yourself a facet buy a different brand
