I've spent weeks trying to fix a basic payment issue, and their response has been completely unacceptable.
I called CA Auto Finance three separate times to move my direct debit date, which I just needed shifted to align with my pay day—a standard request for any finance company.
Every time, I was told the same thing: I could only change the date if I made an unnecessary and unaffordable double payment that month. They outright refused to help me fix the issue without this condition.
Because they wouldn't process the date change, my payments have predictably failed. Now, CA Auto Finance is repeatedly hitting me with administrative/late payment fees. I am being penalised for a problem that they knowingly created by refusing to cooperate.
To top it off, when I finally asked to escalate the complaint, the advisor transferred me, only for the new person to claim they were having "system-wide login issues" that would last all day—conveniently blocking the escalation attempt. This is a complete failure of your complaints procedure.

Had a major problem with the garage where I bought a car, they wouldn't admit to it and was a nightmare to deal with. Eventually Jay Pathirana took over the case and sorted a full refund. She was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

Unfortunately, this is nothing more than a generic, automated response — they post the exact same message under nearly every one-star review. No one from CAAF has contacted me, and it’s clear they have no genuine interest in resolving customer issues.
This company shows zero empathy and only cares about collecting payments, regardless of the personal consequences to their customers. Avoid at all costs — there are far more reputable and compassionate finance companies out there.

Guess what the team told me, after providing all evidence
SAID I INTENTIONALLY DAMAGED MY CAR UPON RECOVERY BECAUSE I WANT TO CLAIM FOR COMPENSATION

Absolute scum of the earth. They'll break any law they can worm themselves around to scrape any bit of money they can off of you. You'll be ignored and lied to time and time again. Unless you want to hear "just because you and your family don't feel safe in the car, isn't a reason to hand back the car". Absolutely repulsive customer service. I wish the absolute worst for every worker there.
