Beware: Give yourself plenty of time
I've used Basic Invite a couple of times now, and while the product is good (high quality and beautiful designs), I'm disappointed with their customer service and especially their shipping. For my first order (wedding save-the-dates), our shipment included ANOTHER couple's wedding invitations. I couldn't imagine the other couple being too impressed with the delay in sending out their invitations, so I contacted Basic Invite right away to tell them to correct the other couple's order. How their invitations got mixed in with ours, I have no idea (one had pictures and was an actual invitation; ours was a save-the-date to an entirely different city, and they were completely different designs). Either way, I liked the product itself enough to try again, this time with announcements that our destination wedding was being canceled (which was time-sensitive, since guests would be booking their stays, and we wanted to let them know asap). It took two orders and two weeks (after paying rush shipping AND Basic Invite putting rush delivery on the second order) for the announcements to arrive. While we do love the product, we won't be using their service again; it's just too unreliable (and, to top it off, when we contacted them for a refund, they were only willing to refund our shipping costs). With the cost of the product AND paying rush delivery, we expected a lot better service. Beware: Give yourself PLENTY of time for Basic Invite to get it right. In our case, an unexpected cancellation put time out of our favor. (NOTE: I tried posting this review to the Basic Invite site, but so far, it hasn't posted. I like to have a good idea of what a company is like before purchasing from them, and if they are filtering out bad reviews, it's not fair to customers. And so, sites like Trustpilot.)
