Agency came (quickly enough) to diagnose concerns with a refrigerator. Claimed the issue was a broken main board. Charged us $968 to repair it which we paid on the spot. They called the next day to say they got the price wrong on the invoice and that the price would be $1568 instead. I said no, now they want a $250 restocking fee because they say they ordered the parts (even if the price they quoted was wrong) and I signed the agreement to repair.
The kicker? our fridge works fine, there was no issue with the main board.
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE
What everyone is saying, is TRUE! they are scammers.
Initial call was not in-depth, we have a stackable washer and dryer, the dryer was the only thing not working. They did not ask me over the phone those detailed questions. They came out and said they couldn't fix it( because it was stackable) but if he called another technician out, he could fix it and it would be about $600-$800. We could buy a new dryer for that money!
My husband said he would pull them out and take the dryer off the top. He has no excuse not to fix!
They charged us the technician fee, when it was their fault for not having a better in depth questionnaire when they are booking the appointment.
Total scammers and a complete was of time.
I see negative reviews on the company…
I see negative reviews on the company but to be honest, our experience so far has been amazing. The tech by the name of Mike is very professional, helpful and tries so hard to fix our washer/dryer issue, I would gladly recommend this company and ask for Mike, he is amazing!!
Unpleasant experience.
I selected this company because of their high ratings. They arranged a same-day appointment, which I appreciated.
Unfortunately, the visit itself was not reassuring. The technician spent a significant amount of time on the phone (not in English) and was laughing frequently. I can’t say what the calls were about, but the behavior felt unprofessional during a service visit in my home.
I was given a quote and told a large part needed to be ordered; I prepaid for it. After the visit, a serious new problem started: roughly every 4–5 hours, water flows into the machine from the sewer and I have to clean it out repeatedly. I’ve requested updates on the part and repair status for more than a week without a clear answer, and over the weekend I was told no information was available.
In summary: same-day scheduling was a plus, but the professionalism during the visit, lack of communication about the order, and the worsened condition afterward have made this an unacceptable experience. At this point, I cannot recommend the service.
Service Matters
Nav came to fix the washer and look at our stove. He solved the issues with both and did not push expensive repairs on us. Very happy with his knowledge and ability to resolve the problems.
TERRIBLE IS THE WORD
I should have looked at 100s of reviews of how you are ripping people off so shame on you guys. It’s been 1 freaking month since your technician came at our place, “investigated” our dryer and took $400 deposit telling us he will come with the parts in 10 days. Just every week your team just keeps saying that “one part is missing”. Your team called yesterday to confirm my appointment and today they said “that part is wrong”. TERRIBLE AND DISAPPOINTING.
At least have some basic courtesy and honesty to deal with your customers. Your technician did not even bother to give a call when requested. I need my money back and stop fooling around with customers about deducting your labor fee. You guys are just fooling around your customers and ripping their hard earned money. I’m pretty sure no parts have been ordered. Such a waste of time!! And I hope no customer finds you.
JUST refund our money if you cannot provide decent services
-ANOTHER FRUSTRATED CUSTOMER.
Didn't do repair
Didn't do repair, wouldn't return money
Scum of the earth.
Do not use this service. I had a dishwasher pump replaced at $900. 6 days later the heating element stopped working. I was then told yhe control board needed replacing at $350 . Coincidence im told
Heating element was working before pump was replaced and not working after.
Scammers!
Scammers!! Beware they say one price 80.00 to get them on your door then inflate the crap put of the service call 1 hour equals 313.00!!! Then part what to order drainage pump for dishwasher .485.00!! I called said cancel within mins of agreeing to do they charged me 90.00 restocking fee! SCAMMERS i got pump from parts dealer of this brand for 86.00! And easy to replace we are doing ourselves. STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM TJIS COMPANY. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU ITS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY AND HOW THEY CAN GET THE MOST OUT OF THERE VICTIMS!
Don’t waste your time
Don’t waste your time - don’t carry common parts and technician showed very little knowledge
Freezer scam, use e-transfer to pay, not cash.
My experience is similar to many others. The technician was nowhere near on time, I called in and was on hold for a longtime before I gave up. When he showed up he looked at my freezer, gave me some technical gibberish and told me he could fix for $320 plus tax. I agreed and he had me sign an invoice first - my first mistake, it should not have been signed until I was happy with the work as per their own statement at the bottom of the invoice. He did the work in literally 2 minutes which struck me as odd. Nonetheless the freezer seemed to be working and he assured me twice the temperature was going down. After the fact he wrote on the invoice that the freezer needed a new seal system ($1200). In the morning the freezer was back to not working with the same error message. I called in and received no satisfaction, they said they would call back but no one did. We had to scramble to get a new freezer and had to throw out some food. Fortunately my bank froze my account and blocked the e-transfer automatically because of the poor reputation this company has. If I had paid cash I would have lost it. The $320 bill was clearly a scam, now I wish I had not been so trusting.
Would leave zero stars if I could
Would leave zero stars if I could. Tech said I needed a new control board. After $700, dryer still doesn’t work. Arranged for tech to come back but he was a no-show after a 3-hour wait. Eventually got him back and argued with me, saying we aren’t using the dryer properly. I had to show him the manual showing exactly what we were doing. He mumbled some nonsense. We managed to sort it ourselves. Have contacted the Bank to get our money back.

This company is a scam do not work with them they charged me 270$ to do absolutely nothing at all
If there was an option for ZERO STARS I'd give it
A-Team Appliance repair is a horror show. I never leave these reviews and decided that this time I must. Each person's awful story reflects my experience as well. The fee up front for over $300 and signing a contract is true. Follow up work and responses to calls are non existent. I'm the end I was resigned to writing off over $600
Very bad company
Very bad company. NEVER use this company. They charged over $800 for a repair of an applicant that could be bough brant new for $950. Terrible advice. Total scam
Total Scam… Do not use this company
Total Scam… Do not use this company. Looking to sue them. I wonder if the affected customers would be willing to join together in a class action lawsuit against this company.
The company is a scam
The company is a scam. Tried to charge me over $2000 for parts for a Wolf stove. Had another authorized team come in and it was a quick fix with no new parts needed. Stay away!

⭐ 1 Star (only because 0 isn’t an option)
Absolutely awful experience with The Appliance Repair Team. They completely misdiagnosed the issue with our ice maker and charged us $388 up front for parts that—surprise—weren’t even needed. A week later, the ice maker magically starts working on its own, before any repair was ever done.
I called FOUR times trying to get answers. Every time I was promised a callback that never happened. Nothing but excuses and the classic runaround.
To top it off, they hit us with shipping and restocking fees, leaving us with a pathetic $59 "refund"—which we’re still waiting on.
And just when you think it can’t get more shady, they conveniently removed the ability for customers to leave Google reviews. Wonder why?
Terrible customer service, unprofessional communication, and a management team that clearly wants to dodge accountability. Do yourself a favor—go anywhere else.
DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY FOR SERVICE
The following was written to get my money back to the company and they refuse to refund me:
To whom it may concern,
I am writing to formally demand a full refund for the unacceptable and deeply frustrating service I received. What occurred was not only unprofessional, but completely unacceptable by any standard — and it was all documented, including photographic evidence of the technician’s uncharged and inoperable device. How dare he have to come to my condo, plug a device that should have been charged and expect me to e-transfer him.
From the moment the technician arrived, it was clear he was unprepared, lacking both the technical competence and customer service skills required for the job. Despite my clear explanation to your customer service representative — that this involved a stacked washer/dryer unit in a condo — the technician arrived with no apparent plan or ability to move the appliance without risking damage.
When I voiced concern about protecting the surrounding area, his response was, "I cannot control that." That is an outrageous and unacceptable reply from anyone claiming to be a professional.
Even worse, he began pulling at the rubber seal of the washer drum, potentially causing more damage. He scraped my walls, required physical assistance from my elderly father, and continuously spoke in a language we did not understand, which only created further confusion and distrust. The entire situation felt chaotic and untrustworthy — bordering on a scam.
To make matters worse, due to his lack of physical capability and preparation, he then suggested bringing in additional help the next day, which would significantly increase labor costs. That is absolutely unacceptable. I refuse to pay more for a job that was so poorly handled from the outset.
This technician’s conduct warrants an urgent internal review — not only of his technical qualifications but of his ability to interact respectfully and professionally with customers.
I expect a full refund to be processed immediately. If this is not resolved promptly, I will escalate the matter further through appropriate consumer protection channels.
I am ready to write a google review of my whole experience if this doesn’t get escalated to the appropriate rep. and if my money is not returned.
