Do not use express parking x
Right where do I start this parking service is false advertising as they call it express but you have to wait a hour before they come and pick you up. Last night my daughter and her family 2 kids came back from holiday and was early hours of this morning when my son in law phoned them up to come with his car they were horrible stating he swore at them when he was actually talking to someone else so the guy on the phone threatened to sell his car and told him "I will definitely take an hour now " my daughter her husband and 2 kids were freezing cold . I think it's disgusting for them to treat people like this please do not use this service go with jet parks they don't threaten you x
It took ages for pick up from the airport …
It took ages for pick up from the airport. We had to ring three times and each time the person that answered kept saying the driver was on his way. We waited for pick up for 46 mins. Will try another provider next time.
Absolutely disgraceful and no ethics
Absolutely disgraceful and no ethics. When you go under the barrier if you turn around and come out without even parking they still hit you with a £6.40 charge. They won’t lift the barrier and they threatened you with all sorts of things like keeping your number plate to the police et cetera. Absolute scumbags. I hope there’s a nice warm place in hell for these people!!!
Never Use This Airport Again
I paid £160 to park at T2 Meet and Greet for 2 week holiday. Could not find entrance off roundabout due to inadequate signage. Only sign is for P1 ??? for a Terminal 2 carpark. Accidentally drove through Drop off zone (twice) and got 2 x£60 fines. One timed at 11 seconds duration. Many other people done same. IT IS NOT OUR FAULT even Bury MP James Frith has written to Managing Director Chris Woodroofe complaining about inadequate and misleading signage. Ive used this airport for 40 years. Stuff it never again
Absolutely disgrace
Absolute disgrace. Never saw any signs about payment, completely unaware of this.
We arrived at 3.19 am and left at 3.23 am.
Received a letter with a fine 21 days after the drop off.
So annoyed,APCOA are robbing Ba.....s
Cheaper to hire a limo
Signage was awful. Ended up at the wrong pre-booked car park, got directions to the right one from operative. At some point point strayed into the drop off lane for under 3 minutes and got clobbered with £170 fine for "ignoring" a letter we never received. Parking and fine cost almost as much as the holiday. Never again. Tempted to not use the same airport either.
I'm a blue badge driver.
I'm a blue badge driver.
Why, when collecting a car from Meet and Greet, terminal 2, are the disabled places located at the furthest possible part of the parking lot from the key collection office?
Don't tell them you have a blue badge, you won't have as far to walk
Dropped off terminal 1 in May not…
Dropped off terminal 1 in May not longer than 5 minutes barriers not working so recvied the option to pay or £100 pound £60...paid the amount about £5 to £6...Aug no barriers stay no longer than 5 minutes FINED £100 or £60., paid after appeal failed. ...There is clear signage which blends nicely into the dimlely lit grey concrete slabs, but only becomes apparent once pointed out, but its NOT by the EXIT where you expect to pay. This is clearly strategic unethical practice by this company that seems to be condoned by Manchester Airport, it city region and the regulators...Absolute disgrace.
Terminal 2 Express Pick Up AVOID unless…
Terminal 2 Express Pick Up AVOID unless you understand restrictions. There is a relatively new way to pick up, using the ‘express’ route. May seem ok, but I was picking up someone who was unwell. Restrictions are 15 mins, but also MUST stay with the car. This is not clear as you arrive at the entrance. Therefore, I ended up paying twice. £6.40 driving through….then had to re-enter short stay and pay using token another £6.40…..rob you blind every way they can
Never mind people complaining about £5…
Never mind people complaining about £5 fir 5 minutes, if you are there for just (less than) 24 hours they charge £85!!! Absolutely disgusting im ashamed to be from Manchester. I will use Liverpool Airport in future and suggest you all do the same
I never write reviews but went to pick…
I never write reviews but went to pick my wife up a went in the drop off instead of the pick up.To top it all my phone froze and I couldn’t contact anyone. The lady on the car park was really nice and told me i must leave and go to the pick up before i got fined.
In the pick up another good guy checked the incoming flights for me because my phone want working and advised me to go to the short stay and go in the terminal to find them.I found my wide and friends and left.
This morning i wanted to check i had paid for my parking and the lady o the phone was brilliant she informed me they would refund my mistake and checked I didn’t owe anything else.
Good staff need praising sometimes when they do a good job
Thank you
Paid £5 online for T2 drop off but…
Paid £5 online for T2 drop off but still got fined! Had to supply copy of credit card statement and they then had the cheek to say that, on this occasion, they would withdraw the fine as a discretionary measure and that not to rely on that proof of payment in future!
Manchester Airport, please remember, we are customers and we can choose other methods of travel.
PARKING SCAM!!!
PARKING SCAM!!!! Spent 90 seconds in their collection point. Couldn’t pay before I went, couldn’t pay whilst I was there, couldn’t pay after I left. Turns out you have to wait an hour after you’ve been then they let you pay to park? But if you leave it anymore than 24 hours you get a fine lol. I contacted the parking company asking how to pay after my visit and was ignored till after the payment window closed meaning they sent me a fine. Absolute joke, bunch of scammers and con artists, no idea how they get away with this, purely set up to catch people out and make money.
Disgusting that this airport is legally…
Disgusting that this airport is legally allowed to swindle money out of people ! £5 for 5 mins is infuriating. The pricing structure is also designed to swindle. Must be lots of less able people who inadvertently stay over and are charged anything from £7 to £25 ! Despicable thievery!!
Well! £5 for a one minute drop off.
Well! Yes nice to just drive in and out but £5.00 for one minute is certainly excessive and then on top 83p vat!
OK there are alternatives but it doesn't justify the ridiculous charge of £5.00 for up to 5 minutes. Pity anyone who is physically challenged and takes longer, they would have to take out a mortgage. It just makes your blood boil when you know you are being fleeced.
Money making racket for pick up and drop off
Ended up paying 3 times to pick up.
Guest had to wait on the plane to get off.
First visit to quick drop off. Allowed 15 mins then goes from £6.40 to £100.
I walk 2 cars up to see if I could see my grand children , terminal 2
I received a 100£ fine £60!if paid in 14 days. I was 2 minutes from my car.
The steward suggested I go to short stay , so I left and entered the short stay. No parking available. Exit that £8.30.
I got a call to say my grand kids had reached the express pick up, so re entered, another £6.40.
This is just a money making racket for the car parking.
I was told by the steward to leave at least 45 - 60!/ Minutes from landing at terminal 2, before you go to pick up, because of the distance from the landing terminal through to customs and package pick up.
It's appalling that they are making money this way.
The fact you may forget to go online in 24 hrs to pay.no reminder .
Just tricking people and making money from the innocent.
Absolute disgrace
Absolute disgrace. Parking Charge Notice for using T1 drop off. The access ramp has always been the entrance to the car park also. Doesn't matter how many signs they have up, not one of them reads 'For Drop off - Please pay online'. Don't be fooled like I was. The justification for removing the exit barriers at the drop off was the traffic backing up at peak times. I don't believe it and would like to know how many fines / revenue has been generated from the fines. No matter how many times you fly a year and how familiar you think you are with the Airport, they will take your money. Underhanded
T2 parking Awful
Having parked in T2 car park on the roof level paid my £9.80 for a short stay, the queue to get down was that busy I had to pay another £3.40 at the barrier this was caused by the delay of people having to do the same , what a bad system not enough time to get out due to traffic and they have the cheek to charge you more ! Also signage awful send you to T2 parking and from there the signage changes to P3 parking all confusion and not clear!
Sneaky underhand behaviour
After using the drop of for free, for many, many months/years, recieving a £60 fine after missing the new signs is appalling service. They must have made extraordinarily revenue from.innocent people. A warning should be sufficient for the first none payment.
I paid up as I was on holiday and the thought of them carrying out their threats was spoiling my holiday. Shame on the manager for introducing this first hit fine. Greedy, sneaky and extremely un British.
Signs were not clear - Appealed and had no response
Confusing signs. Dropped somebody off for the 1st time. did not take more than 5 minutes. Barriers were up so I thought Parking may be free. Had a letter 2 weeks stating I can appeal or pay the fine of £60. Sent an appeal and never heard back from them for weeks only to be sent a letter that I had to Pay £170. I had been checking for posts, Emails and waiting for calls awaiting the decision of the appeal. nothing came till I receive Debt Recovery letter.. Absolutely disgusting
