Visit to Cliffs of Moher and Galway…

We visited Cliffs of Moher and Galway for a day trip on the 2nd of September 2025. Josh the guide was very good and gave us details suitably mixed with humour along the way. The toilet stops were adequate. We were given adequate time both at Cliffs of Moher and Galway. Though we covered more than 600 km we never got tired. Our thanks to the driver (PK or KP) - an absolute expert driver- never felt he was driving rashly. Overall a wonderful trip. Sandip & Sraboni Kumar (from India) & Debika Sareen (fromUSA)

Cliffs of Moher is Amazing!

As we were checking in for the tour, the guide asked me my first name. I said my first name but he could not find it on the list. I think he asked me a couple of times again what was my first name and kept saying what it was. Sounding annoyed, he then asked to see my ticket so I showed him the voucher on my GetYourGuide app. On the GetYourGuide ticket my last name was written before my first name. And this guide, Chris, had the gall to say THAT IS YOUR FIRST NAME! Excuse me! I think I know what my first name is! I have no idea why GetYourGuide did that. We went in the bus and we were met by this driver, Joe, who was saying 1, 2, 3 at me. It took me a second to realise he was asking how many persons in my group so I said 3. He pointed to where we could sit. The next few passengers then were greeted with all smiles, how many are you, where are you from and all the pleasantries! I am not asking for special treatment but a simple good morning would not hurt you!

Anyway, Cliffs of Moher was amazing! The parents were happy! That was the whole point!

The Belfast//Northern Ireland tour was…

The Belfast//Northern Ireland tour was great. Our tour guide, Elisa, was FANTASTIC. She was extremely knowledgeable and personable and made an effort to speak to every guest. She was so organized and made sure everyone was looked after. If I was starting a tour company, she would be my first hire.

For anyone looking to explore beyond Dublin

I recently went on a day tour of Giants Causeway, Belfast City & Dunluce Castle Day Tour from Dublin, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. We were with guide Kevin and driver Warren. The entire day was perfectly organized, allowing us to explore a diverse range of attractions without ever feeling rushed.

The day started early with an easy, punctual pickup in Dublin. The coach was very comfortable and clean, with large windows for great views along the way. Our tour guide was welcoming and knowledgeable, keeping us entertained with fascinating facts about Irish history, Northern Ireland, and local folklore.

Our first stop was Belfast (Titanic Museum). At the beginning of our trip we should choose between Black Taxi Political Tour and Titanic Experience. Tour guide explained the difference in details, expectations you may have - all this was important for each to make a right choice. I chose the Titanic Museum. We had about 2 hours to explore this impressive, interactive museum, which gave an incredible insight into the story of the Titanic, its construction, and its tragic voyage. The museum is huge, so while you could spend more time there, the allotted time was sufficient to see the highlights without a hurry.

Next, we made a stop at Dunluce Castle, perched dramatically on the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Although it’s a ruin, it’s incredibly picturesque, and we had time to explore and take photos. Our guide shared the intriguing history of the castle, which made the experience in this majestic ruin even more special.

Then we visited Giant’s Causeway. We had ample time to walk around, climb the iconic basalt columns, and take in the breathtaking scenery. The natural beauty of the area is unbelievable! For those who are tired or have some health problems (or prefer not to walk the full distance) there is an option of taking a shuttle to the site for just 1 pound/1 euro one way.

After a full day of exploring, the journey back to Dublin was relaxing. Our guide kept the energy up with more fun stories, and we even made a quick stop for refreshments. We arrived back in Dublin at the scheduled time, which was perfect for those with evening plans.

This tour is a must for anyone wanting to experience the best of Northern Ireland in a day. The pacing was perfect, the sights were breathtaking, and the logistics were flawless. The combination of historical sites, natural beauty, and cultural attractions made it a well-rounded and unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to explore beyond Dublin. What is more, they include all entrance fees.

Great Tour Experience

I booked this tour with my school and friends. The service was excellent and very well organized. Our guide, Sarah, was funny and kind, and she provided us with all the information we needed.

The tour started with the Cliffs of Moher and ended in Galway City. The only downside was the limited time at each location, but on the plus side, this allowed us to see more places in one day.

I definitely recommend this tour for its excellent organization.

A disaster! A nightmare

Do not travel with Wild Rover Tours!
They are rude and violent people both drivers and guides! When I was getting in bus I asked them to let me sitt on the first seats but the driver said they were reserved for mobilities.( I have Restless legs Syndrome but when I was booking the journey on booking.com I did not see any option regarding on additional services or asking if we have any kind of disability.) They let other people who were not old nor disable sitt on first seats. I only asked 3 times to let me sitt there.
Then the driver screamed "Get off". I was shocked and refused, so he called police! He could have told me you either get off of this bus and try other buses or sitt where you are , but not only he asked me to get off he also didn't let other buses to get me in, the other tour guide screaming " Go Away, Go away" looking at their eyes scared me, I left because i thought if I even get in ,they might leave me alone in another city hundreds kilometes away from Dublin, exactly what they did to other people when I read the reviews! I saw in other reviews people call them racists, aggressive, not even let them talk on phone.
They totaly damage my trip in Dublin. They let me leave Ireland with a very bad impression!

I had a very poor customer service…

I had a very poor customer service experience this morning with a customer service agent. While the tours themselves that I took were good, we had a medical emergency and were offered no flexibility with our booking. While I understand the policy, the customer service agent became extremely rude and aggressive, talking down to me. I enjoyed the tours I took with this company but this soured my experience.

Cliffs of Moher & Galway

Great locations. We felt our tour guide spoke a lot about general Irish history and tradition and actually missed a few stand-out buildings / monuments that we passed on the way. We were left wondering what certain things were and trying to Google them (old ruins / statues etc). Tried to leave a 3 star google review but wild rover 'policies' wouldn't let me??

Cliff of Mother tour

Cliff of Mother tour , April 4,2024

My friend and went to the Cliff of Mother day trip , Dublin Ireland to be scolded and embarrassed by the tour guide (Sean and the bus driver Garry). We were seated at the front seats close to the driver. At the beginning the tour guide and the driver Garry seemed to be nice but later on they showed their true colors. First were scolded because we were 3 minutes late from restroom recess.

Second , my friend and I were whispering to each other about views we were passing and the tour guide (Sean)asked us to be quiet. He was reading some kind of fiction stories that he wrote for a show he was going to perform that weekend and said that we were disrupting him. Later on, Garry the driver scolded us again for the same reason. The driver was interested in promoting Sean stories and was paying more attention to Sean stories than to the driving . They both were so involved in each other’s business that neglected their jobs. The information given was very limited and the places we visited were only enough time to eat and use the bathroom.

We took a trip to enjoy the beautiful country and learn about the history and culture not to be ashamed by two unprofessionals

I did my tour with Dave and Joe

I did my tour with Dave and Joe, and I had the most fabulous day, it’s a long tour, but so worth it. Joes handling of that coach along those challenging roads was impressive.

Thank you so much Dave for keeping us entertained and informed, I learned so much about the history of Ireland and about the places we visited. Learning about the famine walls will hunt me forever, the cruelty is just heartbreaking.

Your knowledge of places to go to eat or drink was fabulous and much appreciated, thank you so much you were amazing and I highly recommend traveling with Wild Rover Tours.

Completely a bad experience

Completely a bad experience. They don't let you speak on the phone, even if it is urgent call. They treat you as if you are in a school bus and quite authoritative. Seems like a racist behaviour. Too much of loud and lengthy commentaries which at times is not required.

Just great tour to Belfast and stunning locations in Antrim

The tour and tge whole bus trip to Belfast, Dunluce Castle and Giants Causeway was just wonderful. Our guide Saoirse was just incredible and very knowledgeable, she is also a great Gaelic teacher and singer, we were just amazed :) the trip was organised super good - big thanks to our driver Vasyl :) All details and meeting points and locations and times were explained to us very good, it was super easy to find the bus and nobody had any problem. We came back to Dublin on time overwhelmed by the magnificent views of the Antrim Coas and delicious food, interesting tours of choice in Belfast and amazing stories on various topics from our guide Saoirse :) thank you so much for a wonderful day:)

Nice views but with not so happy ending

This was the worst experience I had from all tours, large or small, from 30+ countries I visited. We had a compressed schedule in Ireland and therefore booked a day trip from Dublin to Galway/Cliff based on the good reviews. There looked like half dozen exact same buses going on the same tour. When we got to Galway, we were told to meet at bus 4:40 for back to Dublin. We got back to the bus stop 4:30 at the pinned GPS location, and saw the bus door closed without realizing that it was not the same bus (they all looked the same, and lined up one next to another). So we waited. The door opened at 4:45 when we realized it was not our driver. We were told our bus just left. A series of episodes followed with one tour guide trying to find us empty seats and others not bothered. None of the remaining tour buses could take us in end. As experienced travelers as we were, we were able to find a way an hour later back to Dublin. Nevertheless we had to contact the tour company to retrieve our bag left on the original bus. The time lost was most frustrating given our already tight schedule. We wouldn’t have been in the situation had the tour guide stepped outside the bus and gave a look back the side road. Apparently we were not the only group left behind. Met a few parties in the similar situation as we were looking for options back to Dublin. The funny things was that we paid the Citylink bus back to Dublin with the tip we planned to give the guide :-).

My 2 cents: avoid going on tours of popular routes with a large company like this with mostly inexperienced tour guides during peak travel seasons. You could easily be in our situation.

Refunds

I thought this tour was pretty good, but the reason I am giving it a 1 star is because we had purchased 4 tickets. We were with my boyfriend's parents who are older and they got sick on our trip to Ireland. They were up all night with a cold- coughing and sneezing and not sleeping. We originally were going to take the tour on a Monday, but we moved the day to Wednesday to see if they'd be feeling better. They unfortunately were not, so they couldn't make the tour. I have emailed the company to see if we could get a refund for our 2 tickets-- the bus was packed and overflowed onto another bus. Who would want coughing/ sneezing people on a full tour bus like that anyway? This company will not budge with a refund. They said they saved the 2 spots for us in terms of seating (which isn't true- because the bus was full) and that the tour operated as scheduled (well yeah- that's not the issue). When you go to their website it says 100% money back guarantee. So, 1 star from me because I would like a refund- I mean, how hard could it be to refund 2 tickets? Do they really need the money that badly?
