They won't delete my personal info

The app itself seems fine, the only reason I made it was since verification on the app I currently use took a while (but this took even longer in the end).

However - I wanted to delete my account but found no option to, so I contacted customer service. They said because of "internal policies" they don't support deleting accounts, which sounds like absolute bs. I asked how I could delete my own account if they wouldn't do it for me, and the answer I got was the exact same message I'd received previously, copy pasted.

My account is verified, which means they have my personal info and my passport info. I want it removed and I hate not being able to remove the information THAT BELONGS TO ME. Awful business practice.
