My wife had a skin biopsy on 22nd July performed by Dr Samantha Keegan.
After chasing up the clinic several times she received a first set of results on 13th August stating 'further levels requested'.
It is now 17th September and despite several phone calls and promises to call back no results have been provided...8 weeks later.
This is now causing her undue stress and anxiety.
We could NOT recommend the Stratum Dermatology clinic to anybody.

To get an answer from laboratory took 4 weeks and a couple of days and only after me calling twice asking for the report. The result of biopsy was not completely done and after 2 more weeks and more chasing a result has come to the clinic. But this is 3 days ago and the doctor in charge has not yet called me with the results. So I am still waiting, 6 weeks after the biopsy. It would have been better to use NHS

Excellent

The dermatologist is highly skilled and precise. The information before the procedure was given in a very accurate way. There was empathy and kindness throughout also from the nurse staff.

Wish I’d never set foot in this place

Wish I’d never set foot in this place.
I have delayed posting this to give the company every opportunity to reply but have heard absolutely nothing.
I am a doctor and can categorically say poor technique cause a horrific wound infection after a mole removal. Severe pain, several courses of antibiotics, misinformation as to treatment (advised to take an ointment the bacteria were resistant to) and I never saw a doctor afterwards. After weeks of dressing a gross pus filled wound I was left with an ugly scar- all for over £1000.
A legal opinion found poor care. Despite hand delivering this report they lost it. They received a second one and despite several emails I have heard NOTHING from the clinic manager.
I wish I’d gone somewhere else; think carefully before you make your choice. Clearly all this place cares about is getting your money; certainly not
good patient care.

Don’t waste your money

I took my son to the Wimbledon branch and it was a total waste of money and time. The dermatologist didn’t even get off her chair to look closely at the issue let alone put his face under a some sort of microscope like I thought she would. She then recommended exactly what my GP had recommended which hadn’t worked and when I said that didn’t work, she prescribed something else which left my son’s skin feeling so dry and burnt. I spent £300 on this 15 minute appointment and £100 on creams and potions that haven’t worked. Don’t waste your money!

I enquired about a consultation at the Cheltenham clinic for my mother as she has limited accessibility, Charlotte took my call and was extremely helpful. Although the building has steps which we were forewarned of, we were informed a member of staff would assist my mother into the building.
On the day of, Charlotte waited on the steps of the building and came to meet us in the street, taking our bags and other belongings into the practice before helping us into the building. Adam Friedmann, my mother’s consultant changed rooms for us to the ground floor and the consultation was informative and the bedside manner fantastic. Each member of staff could not do enough for us and although all extremely busy, made sure to make us feel like the only people that mattered.
I would highly recommend Stratum to anyone.

Unsightly Scar After Mole Excision

Had a full body mole check at Wimbledon which was very quick compared to previous ones I've had with my sun weathered skin and so many to be inspected. Not looked at closely or carefully or under a high powered light as they have been by other dermatologists when checks had taken at least 40 mins.

Followed the recommendation to have one removed which had been monitored for years but seemed a little bigger. Now left with a horrible dark red bumpy, thick scar, and unsightly big stitch marks. The skin having been caught in a stitch and folded. Looks like a butcher would have done a better job!
Not happy at the moment. At all.

Very professional and yet clearly able to explain the procedure, both the process and the expected outcomes.

A thorough eye exam is undertaken beforehand with instant feedback.

The nursing staff were unobtrusive yet reassuring.

Awful place

Awful place. Being referred as a new customer I cannot even get the right contact to get booked in … can only imagine the medical care provided based on the front of house care or shall I say lack of?!
