Definitely worth seeing if it's a good fit for your kid.

I was looking for something more than the mundane book work. My 13 year old likes this and he is learning SO much! He is also earning money which is pretty cool and motivating all in itself.

The instructors are great, patient and helpful in getting the kids to think about what needs to happen in order to proceed.

Five Stars All the Way!!!

My son participated in the Starter School program last summer to gain hands-on experience, as he is considering a career in IT in college. This experience not only allowed him to earn his first income but also helped him develop a diverse set of skills. I appreciated the responsive communication from the support department, which made it easy to get our questions addressed. Overall, it was a great experience, and we look forward to participating in another program in the future for further learning and growth.

A Refreshing Way for Kids to Learn

I love that Starter School helps kids think outside the box, not just with learning, but with real life skills too! Instead of being taught how to work for someone else, they’re encouraged to use their own talents and dreams to build something of their own. It’s all about giving kids tools they can actually use in the real world and helping them carve their own path instead of following the usual “worker bee” route.

The debit card part is genius too - it gives them freedom to buy or save whatever they want while teaching responsibility and how to manage the money that they earn.

The virtual office is also super cool! It makes connecting and learning feel more fun and game-like, which keeps the kids engaged. Overall, it’s such a refreshing approach to helping them create their own future! :)

It was an awesome and enriching experience

It was an awesome experience. I learned a lot from the courses, and I was not limited to a set track; I could explore any topic I wanted. Not only that, the videos are like being taught 1 on 1, and there is nearly always a person ready to help you work out issues. The skills are useful for starting anything online and are valuable to have.

3 years working with starter school

I’ve been working inside Starter School co-ops since I was 14. I’m a senior in high school now and all I can say is that I’m grateful to have learned so much about how to build websites, design apps, advertise, use ai, and build up my overall confidence. All things I’m really interested in.

You have to get into a rhythm with it. For me, when it’s my work hours, I just clock in, i go to the training challenge right away and tells me exactly what i need to do so i can just get started. I like that the challenge tells you the next steps, it’s like a blueprint to follow and get to an end result. I like working with computers so this was really fun. After I graduate this year I plan on making a quick app or project and start advertising right away .

Amazing customer service

Amazing customer service. Always answers emails or calls in a timely manner. At first I was concerned because the program was too good to be true but IT IS TRUE! Everything on the website is legit.

Good for self-motivated and independent kids

As a 12 year old, many of the lessons in Starter school were difficult to understand, and occasionally, help was not immediately available and one time had to redo the assignment since support person couldn't resolve the issue. Nevertheless, it was a good learning on some of areas and good use of summer time.

Amazing program

Amazing program! My son has learned skills that are the most current and up to date in today's market. This program is not only affordable but will prepare the next generation to be most advanced in technology. Better yet, kids can earn while they learn! Give it a try and you won't regret it!!

Highly motivating program, even for teens who struggle with motivation.

Highly recommend this program. It has been great for my 13 year old who struggles with motivation. The cash payouts for his work are very motivating to him and it is very easy to contact starter school when any questions arise. This is a really great option for teens, especially those who are interested in technology as the projects are well done and give them great experience in a broad range of skills. I have a neuro diverse kiddo who struggles with motivation. And this has been a great fit for him.

Brilliant for Neurodivergent thinkers too!

What a brilliant idea—helping teens explore career paths, build real skills, and boost their college resumes all in one place. When I called for help, I got to speak directly with the founders. Diveej and Jason were both incredibly open to feedback and clearly care about making this a great experience for every student. Highly recommend!

I appreciate that Starter School is…

I appreciate that Starter School is focused on closing the tech gaps. Much of their co-ops use apps and technology that aren't readily available in schools. The co-ops are real-world based, but also gamified, making them pretty engaging! Considering the costs of summer tech camps and sports camp, the price is a steal.

Starter School: A Great Tool for Homeschoolers

Starter School has been a valuable addition to my 8th grader’s homeschool curriculum. My student has always been interested in technology, so I was excited to find a program like Starter School.

From a parent’s perspective, I especially appreciate how the program teaches responsibility and accountability. I also really enjoy the “office” interface and the expectation for my student to maintain consistent office hours—it gives the experience a real-world structure. Another highlight is that help is almost always available when my student gets stuck or frustrated with a step in an assignment, which helps keep him motivated and on track.

My student would probably say the best part is getting paid for his hard work!

One area I’d love to see improved is communication with parents. More regular updates or insights into student progress would help us stay better informed and engaged. I’d also love to see more resources or options for Chromebook users.

Starter School - Great Investment for My Daughter

My daughter is having a great experience with Starter School. She has been in the program for some months now and has learned a lot.   Some of the many hands-on learning projects, such as the AI challenges will prepare her for various "real world" career sectors. Another bonus is that the instructor's office is very easily accessible when needed. Special thanks to Robbee. She has been quite helpful and knowledgeable as well as Diveej!

Thank you to the entire Starter School Team!!!

Empowering young minds is crucial for creating a brighter future

From the very first lesson, my son has approached each new topic at Starter School with an infectious excitement and a genuine curiosity that I had always hoped to see in his educational journey. He is eager to share not just what he has learned, but how he has learned—tackling challenges with a spirit of exploration and perseverance. A particular highlight of our experience has been the engaging presence of the founder and CEO, Diveej, who actively connects with the students and fosters a welcoming, supportive atmosphere. My son truly feels heard and inspired, and he relishes every opportunity to contribute his ideas for new initiatives and improvements. I'm so happy to have found Starter School for my son. Thank you!

Great, incentivized platform to learn tech and life skills

Great platform for kids to learn not only tech skills but life skills. Some projects, like real estate, challenge, explain on mortgage, equity, etc. Others, like the life story, teach how to publish your own book. Kids are incentivized to work and learn, and actually get paid as they complete the challenges. Highly recommend Starter School - hugely impressed.

My son has been in starter school for a while now and I feel it’s a good time to say our experience has been a really amazing one. When he first started I wasn’t sure what all to expect, but I feel now that this was a really good investment because of all he gained from it. He has always had great interest in the tech world and starting here really has given him a major advantage in the tech arena. His confidence in his skills, and all he’s learning in a fun way has really solidified this will be the path he’s choosing for his career. I’ve already recommended it to friends and am really glad we found this program. It’s really innovative so you just have to have some faith because there’s nothing like this around. It’s really gonna be something revolutionary for our children so I’d jump on the opportunity if you can.
