Upper management in Calgary needs a review. The environment is and feels very discriminatory toward its own employees, and serious changes are needed.

Terrible experience with Sporting Life. Bought a pair of runners that literally fell apart withing the first 45 days. These shoes were used at the gym primarily. Then I went on a hike and by the end of the day one of the bottom pads fell off. Went on a second hike and the foam sole was ripping. So submitted a warranty claim and they said that level of damage was normal wear and tear. Thats crazy for only having them for 45 days and only going on two trail hikes.

I’m trying to purchase a e-bike from them, their website says “hurry, only a few left” 24hr pickup tried to purchase online 3 times, each time received confirmation, followed by a cancellation, i then phoned the Yorkdale store to be told they have the bike but it needs assembly, that was 5 days ago, called again today only to be told it’ll likely be another week, as they don’t have any techs! Why are they in the business of selling bikes if they’re incapable of preparing them?

Marco at Sporting Life really took the time to find what we needed.
Even though one clerk already informed us there was no size 12 shoes, Marco looked again.
Marco waded through the inventory and came up with the correct size.

Went to sporting life for the first time today to purchase new hiking shoes. Diego the gentleman working in the shoe department was amazing patient, knowledgeable and more than willing to help.

Ordered shoes on Monday. Friday they send an email "Sorry your ordered item is out-of-stock". Well that's not what your web site said when I ordered them. Shop elsewhere.

The website contains misleading information about a $20 bonus for registering an account with purchases over $350, but this feature does not work. As a result, I overpaid $20. What’s even more surprising is that after completing the payment, the website canceled my order — very strange. I also tried to submit feedback on the company’s website to report the glitch, but I was blocked. These guys clearly don’t know how to maintain their website: everything keeps crashing, orders get canceled, money is charged without control, and customers are blocked. Unacceptable service.

Ravleen the associate at the Sporting Life located at Sherway Gardens was phenomenal. She definitely made my shopping experience worthwhile. I was indecisive, but her care and expertise was extremely helpful in getting what I wanted. Thanks

I went to Sporting Life a few days ago to buy a shirt for my son and a lovely girl with blond hair named Riley helped me. She was extremely friendly and helpful and I found exactly what I was looking for after her help. It was a great shopping experience because of her!

Found the best socks ever, Lazypants. So comfy, and just the right thickness and colours I love. Isabella delivered such incredible, friendly, helpful customer service at the checkout. I always have a good in-store experience at Sporting Life!

I ordered a pair of surge underarms junior sneakers they were 30$ amazing price u also got leather protector spray for my jordans, when I went to check out there was a coupon for free shipping u got both those items total 50$ I received my order 2 days later!! I was very impressed 👏

They sold me a used pair of shoes and I have a hard time trying to return it. I emailed them right away but they have not answered back. No phone number to call them. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. I WILL UPDATE THIS REVIEW IF I DO NOT HEAR BACK FROM THEM.

Ordered a pair of hiking boots online. The delivery service made it almost two weeks late. I went online to write the company about it taking so long and I saw that a couple of days after I had ordered that the boots were now 25% off. I wrote and asked if they could give me a discount for my troubles since the boots were discounted so soon after I bought them. I got no response after I wrote them twice.
I can understand if they wrote back saying "no" in some form. But no response at all is a slap in the face for already bad service.

STEVEN at Sporting Life Yorkdale was so helpful when I phoned i thought I had to buy a coat online he looked up and found coat was in stock offered to put it on hold, when I arrived he even measured coat at my request -- he's professional, conscientious and helpful. Rare to find such terrific employees anywhere in business today. Of course I bought the coat.

I had the best experience at the Markham store intensive department. Sean helped us. He was so nice and really knew his products. It made my experience a really wonderful one. Thank you.

Have to make a shout out to Reeshabh from Yorkdale mall location. He went above and beyond in hunting me down a pair of running shoes that would fit correctly. Great work Reeshabh.

Orfered an item that was listed as being in stock. Received a cancelation email from them saying it wasn't in stock. Weeks later, the item is *still* listed as in stock. Emailed them to ask about item, received no reply.

they straight up stole my money.
used a gift card to purchase some pants. OH SORRY, WE LOVE TO SELL THINGS WE DON'T HAVE IN STOCK, ORDER CANCELLED. and now my gift card is just gone and they're not responding to my email.

I have made a couple of large purchases with Sporting Life (many hundreds of dollars for each purchase), and I can say they have been a pleasure to deal with, and also have given me some of the best prices for the items I have purchased.

In the course of purchasing with them, I have had to return an item that I bought online, to one of their physical stores. I had no issues with the return, and everyone was very friendly. I then re-purchased a similar item online from them, and after purchasing it, I found the product to have a lower price from a competitor. I went through their price adjustment policy, and their customer service was easy and friendly to speak with. The price was adjusted, and I am thankful for them being easy to contact and discuss the request with them.

I have no complaints about them, and from my experience, they are very good at what they do, and have a great selection of products. 5/5.
