Do NOT GET A SHOCKBYTE SERVER!!!
Server constant kicks and shutdowns on it own with 1 person on no load, with 3 peeps its unplayable support is an AI chat bot that spits generic advice but no resolutions,

I bought a server for me and my friends to play on and we played for a day or so and then I switched the difficulty on the server and it asked me to save and restart the server in the control panel, which I did. And now it will not start back up. I had a server before and it was fine(I also didn't mess with it after starting). Its still early, only 1 day since the ticket but still no response from the technical team, I just want the server to work because the more time that goes by with the server down, the less time I get to actually play on it if it does start back up.
Update 11 hours later: The team got back to me and Fixed my problems and started my server and now it works. Im much happier now and thank you so much!

Terrible service! AVOID
I had a server up with shockbyte which I paid a lot more than other host providers charge. Things started off good with the panel but after 3 days a shockbyte error with backups caused the server to become unavailable.
I contacted support the same day, its been a week since then and I haven't had a single response. I've since requested a cancellation and refund and lo and behold- instant AI response and still not a single support member to actually help. So I have three tickets with them, one Urgent thats been left open for a week.
If it wasn't for the god awful support this review would have been much higher, the price for the server was far more than other providers. You'd think with these inflated prices they'd have some sort of support team.
Checking twitter, reddit and other reviews this looks to be across the board for shockbyte. Go with another provider, very disappointed in the end with the customer service and care. I'll update this review if they ever get back to me with an explanation and refund.
Update: Following the creation of this review I had a response from Andrew at the support team. Thanks for reaching out.
At time of update they've only refunded my initial amount paid and not for the upgrade package I bought. I've responded on the support ticket and will update when fully refunded

Boasts server availability and then required 7 hours for the server to be brought up after taking my money. Refused to refund me even though the server was not even up. Absolutely awful experience, and probably gets most of their revenue scamming people. Do not trust this site.

support is as slow as nitrado and they have audacity to charge $3 to speed up support after you just payed for a new server. also be careful as they do not verify your email address before taking your money so if there is a mistake in your email address you cant access your server and you'll have to pay them $3 to get it resoled sooner otherwise you'll be waiting hours.

Some fake advertisements, Plugin panel doesnt work. Adding more admins doesnt work. Customer service is nowhere to be found, been waiting 5 + days and still no response on my ticket. don't know what kind of amateur service yall running but this is horrible

Shockbyte has absolutely ZERO customer service. DO NOT USE SHOCKBYTE. I had an issue with the control panel not connecting to my actual minecraft server which made it impossible to add new plugins or update the server or do any sort of customizing really. Reached out to their customer service, they had one default response 10 minutes after my ticket was submitted and then after that just silence. No help at all, the default response was utterly useless. Extremely disappointing. I would highly recommend not using this platform. To add to this I only had my server for 20 days before it was unusable the issue persisted for over 10 days and didnt help whatsoever that entire period. TWENTY DAYS!!!!!!!!!

they never answer. I've had my server for a week and it's been down and when I've had problems they don't answer. I've now cancelled my contract with them and hope to get my money back. But don't believe it because you can't get in touch with them.

Service was phenomenal; have a few concerns about the website and latency errors. Managed to recover and old backup of my minecraft server that I had not made a backup of, am very happy I have it back
