SafeGlaze UK 

Paid deposit for a window back in June after many emails and various unfulfilled promises i still have no window. I am not sure if this company is even trading or its just a scam. Dont send any money, you wont get it back and you won't get your windows!!!

I had my windows and door installed in August 2018.
I went with with SafeGlaze since they offered a 15 year warranty and stated that they were CERTASS registered.

I am now selling my home but have a real issue with my Buyers Solicitors since SafeGlaze NEVER sent me my 15 year warranty or the CERTASS Certificate, despite numerous chasers. Today I figured no problem I will contact CERTASS and get a copy of the CERTASS Certificate evidencing the installation. Imagine my surprise when CERTASS advised me today (16.8.22) that my property was not registered with them advised me to refer back to the installer! Well I cannot do that! This leaves me high and dry concerning the sale of my property!! I could lose my buyer because SafeGlaze UK were Trading under false prentices. I just bet the Directors are all sitting pretty in their expensive homes obtained through their ill gotten business ethics!!!

I had a terrible experience with Safeglaze in 2018. I had 2 doors replaced and the workmen were very vulgar and spoke about women in a very derogetory way. as a single female this left me feeling vulnerable. Thankfully I was also having a boiler fitted the same day and the plumber kindly offered to stay with me until the men left as he didn't want me to be left alone with them.
The workmen badly damaged one of my walls, pulling off the plaster and exposing the brickwork at both sides, then telling me I would need to get someone to fix this myself. A few weeks later, both doors began to stick. The back door was so bad that the internal mechanism broke, leaving me unable to open the door. I had to climb through the window to access the back yard. when I rang I was told this was not a priority call and would be dealt with in a few weeks. I had to get a locksmith to come out. He was appalled at the work and identified many other issues that would mean the doors would break again wining a few months. I contactes Safeglaze multiple times and eventually someone came out to look. They agreed the work was sub standard and arranged to fix it and reimburse the cost of the locksmith. They didn't turn up and after many phone calls and emails, returned to fix the work and plaster my damaged wall.
Now that the company has gone bankrupt I regularly get cold calls from them under their new name(s). the callers are rude and verging on aggressive when I ack them to take my number off their list and say I do not want work doing.

Still fighting to get my windows sorted under section 75 over 3 years later, as the company is bankrupt, it still rains inside, roof damaged, bedroom window doesn’t close it’s freezing inside in the winter, front door leaks

Absolute mistake, get a local installer, check there work out and pay on a credit card so your protected if they go bankrupt to get out of warranty claims.

Safe style UK have phoned me pretending to be Safe Glaze after they went bankrupt until I went nuts then they confessed.

Please learn from my mistake.

Called safestyle for a door quote - they like to send someone round to ‘give a tailored quote’ although it sceptical about this. A lot of reviews mention ‘hard sale’. I was called back immediately and told a sales advisor would attend my address the following day at a specific time and that they would call me beforehand.

They didn’t call and they didn’t turn up. We rang back and asked safestyle to remove my details from their systems. If they can’t even turn up to provide a quote then I certainly don’t want them conducting any work or taking my money.

Since then I have been harassed by them numerous calls per day from different numbers (As I keep having to block them)

I have now complained to TPS re these calls. Good luck anyone wishing to use this strange company.

Had a new conservatory fitted July2018 very pleased with product.Worried about the reviews we have a small leak because of all the rain but I think I can sort it out myself.Try to ring company but no luck but now realised they have gone bust,Sorry for all the people that the work was never done if you pay with a credit card should get your money back.Good Luck

Used this company to install 8 windows for £3,500. Installation was fine and so far all windows appear to be fine except that the lock on one window keeps coming out. Very flimsy. Was told that the new windows would stop the traffic noise and condensation. Still can hear the traffic noise and the windows still have some condensation on them albeit a lot less than the old ones where I had to have moisture traps on all the windowsills. Did not receive a guarantee or FENSA cert. Paying by direct debit . Did not know that the company had gone bust until I read the reviews below

If anyone is still looking at this site I have just recieved a provisional decision from the financial ombudsman services that have upheld my complaint of financial malpractice of IWA deposit protection scheme to refund my deposit I suggest that others con'd by these crooks do the same

Safestyle UK are behind SAFEGLAZE UK closing. They bought out the owner and sold him shares in safestyle. Now they are making more redundancy. BEAWARE OF THIS COMPANY. BIGGEST FRAUDS GOING. KEEP AWAY FROM SAFESTYLE UK. COMPANY WILL BE BUST BY END OF YEAR TOO.

Why is safeglaze still on here when they have gone bankrupt with debts of 15.3 million. The guarantee they gave me last year is not worth the paper it’s written. Also on the paperwork they gave me , it’s said they are members of FENSA. They also twice asked me for an extra £100 as they said the estimator made a mistake. I refused. Total rip off merchants. They had a 5 star pilot rating. That is absolutely worthless

I had doors and windows fitted in August 2018. One door has dropped and another is sticking at the bottom. The trim around the door is also coming away. What can we do. I do not appear to have received a guarantee.

My parents had windows fitted all around the house in August, they are now worried about if they have warranty due to the company going bust as their windows are condensating and leaking! Does anyone know how they stand??

I have been reading these reviews online now about window companies. I have just seen a review from someone called JACKIE ROBSON. I have realised she has not had no work done from safeglaze uk but has been commenting on the reviews about other companies. also JACKIE ROBSON seems to have given 5 star rating SAFESTYLE UK. Seems like someone is putting these reviews on so people just use SAFESTYLE UK. I read when safeglaze went into administration. SAFESTYLE took on all the staff from safeglaze. THEY DID A INSIDE DEAL TO CLOSE SAFEGLAZE. so please dont read this stupid comments by fake profiles on here.

I m a victim of safe glaze. Please advice me to refund my deposit back. I have been emailing administrator but not helpful at all.

Only just found out earlier this week about Safeglaze, I had no idea, I had windows & 2 external doors fitted June 2018, paid in full cash, when fitted I was told I will receive warranty and certificate in post, never arrived despite following this up in September! I have spoken to CERTASS today, they informed me my property was not registered with them advised to contact WIA they confirmed I have no policy! Ive left my details with Safeglaze appointed administrators as to what will happen next/what they advise... I’ve never dealt with a company in liquidation before! Feel so angry as many others on here are! I only went with that company as it promised 15 year guarantee, and excellent after sales service! Ha joke to top it off front door doesn’t shut properly!

Still waiting for our guarantee, seems they have gone into recievership which doesn't surprise me at all , been intouch with the Liquidator and they seem as much use as safeglaze .time to go to trading standards and get them to look into these shithole company's ..
