What a nightmare

I tried to open a business account. I had to visit a branch, sign a contract, and then wait—without any visibility into the process. After two weeks of silence, I asked for an update. They replied with the following email:

“Good morning,
unfortunately, we are unable to open an account for you.
Best regards,
the mBank team.
If you have any further questions or concerns, we’re always happy to help.”

Honestly, this sh*t customer service makes me want to move back to the UK immediately.

Deeply Disappointing Experience !!!

Deeply Disappointing Experience !!!

I’ve been banking with mBank for about 8 years, primarily to manage money for my trips to Poland, as I live permanently abroad. Until recently, everything worked fine. However, a few months ago, my online access via computer was inexplicably blocked. The mobile app still works, but it doesn’t allow me to perform all the necessary transactions.

I’ve made multiple attempts to resolve the issue, including visiting the bank twice in person with my ID, computer, and phone. Despite these efforts, nothing has been resolved. I’ve received two activation letters, but neither allowed me to regain access. Just today, I spent over 1.5 hours on the phone with customer service. While the staff were polite, the experience was maddening.

The verification process involved being connected to an automated bot, which then redirected me to another agent. Each time I was transferred, I had to explain the entire issue from the beginning. This endless cycle of agent handoffs made it impossible to get consistent help or track progress.

It’s unacceptable that there isn’t a single point of contact who can oversee the resolution of an issue from start to finish. The constant agent switching leaves you feeling lost and frustrated. As a result of these failures, I’ve been unable to transfer money, pay for medical care, or handle anything beyond small transactions in shops or online.

mBank’s customer support system is a joke, and their inability to provide a solution for such a basic issue is deeply disappointing. I’ve lost confidence in their service and would not recommend them to anyone who relies on efficient and reliable online banking, especially for international use. I would give zero star if I could. I am have to plan how to take all my moneyfrom this joke of a bank!

The best e-bank in Slovakia

I opened account because I like the flexibility of the bank, but after few days of using I find the app and e-banking very easy and straightforward understandable for customer. The SEPA transfers are fast. Virtual card was functional right away after opening the account. The customer service is very fast and responsive even at night. I can recommend for everyone who need free of charge personal or business account. Just keep the eye on dormancy fee when you don't use the cards actively. For a few years I was mostly using banks that do not charge customers. After years I decided to open account in the mBank S.A. Slovakia. I like their functionality and design. Bank supports Apple Pay, but I paired the virtual cards with Curve card which is more comfortable for me to use. I like the mBank is offering to have the account free of charge if I follow simple rules of using the cards. Compared to the other options on our market I can recommend services of this bank company. This bank is a good standard in our country with good support and responsive design. What really matters is the flexibility. You can do everything you want online and this is unique on Slovakia market. Well done!

F*CK1NG MADNESS - AVOID IT

In a nutshell: This bank is sh1te. Don't open a bank account with them.

Full review:
I opened my first bank account when I arrived to Poland 11 years ago. There was no restrictions and I only needed my passport. With time, they became more and more restrictive.
Anyway, the worst is with their customer service and their processes. They make no sense. They require you to go to their branch to make simple changes. I should be able to do everything online, by myself. We are in 2022 guys and you are not keeping up.
Every time I had to reset a password or change some data either I suffer the consequences of a poor and endless set of questions by phone, or finally I am finally forced to go to the branch because "they are sorry and are unable to help you".
First thing I remember, my card expired and they sent me a new one. So the old one got disabled and I couldn't use it but I still didn't get the new one. So I was unable to take money or use my card for around a week. That was f*ck1ng insane.
And now, what made me come here to leave a f*ck1ng review is that I changed phone and I have to pair the app to my new phone. In order to do this I need to write my mother's maiden name and they don't give you any other f*ck1ng option!!! (WhatTheF!!) So the best is that I tried all the possible options and when I couldn't do it anymore I called customer service and they told me the agent who registered this, made a spelling mistake hahaha. So now I have to: Either go to the branch and fix it there (OF COURSE) or guess the spelling mistakes the agent did :D :D :D I'm right now in Spain with no access to my bank account. Response from the customer support: "I'm so sorry sir". Thank you for being sorry but I need my money to pay stuff.

AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS. IF YOU READ ANY POSITIVE REVIEW HERE IT'S PROBABLY A BOT

Mbank - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

This is truly the worst bank to possibly deal with. 10 yrs ago they were great and now it has been downhill since - price hikes, longer and longer waiting times and increasingly restrictive rules (requiring in person appointments or over 1 hr holds).
This bank, including its investment division is one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
