Shady stuff
My name is Neag Victor, and this review reflects my personal experience with Lolita Paris.
At first, I left them a 4-star review, because even though the product I received felt low in quality, I tried to be fair. Shortly after posting that review, however, I started receiving legal threats via email from the company, claiming they would take legal action against me if I didn’t remove my review — alleging that it contained “false information.” I want to make it clear that everything I wrote was true and based entirely on my own experience with their product.
Following these messages, I decided to change my rating to 1 star, because I believe a brand that reacts this way to customer feedback does not deserve a higher rating. Unfortunately, instead of stopping, the company kept emailing me repeatedly for about a month — over 20 to 30 messages — which I found unreasonable and harassing.
The original reason for my negative review was related to their Monthly Obsession Box. When you purchase it once, it automatically signs you up for a monthly subscription and saves your credit card details, all without clear and explicit consent. There is only a tiny, barely visible paragraph stating that your next box will be charged the following month. There’s no checkbox or clear confirmation, just a faint piece of text hidden in the design.
This entire experience felt dishonest and unprofessional, and I believe potential customers deserve to be aware of these practices before making a purchase.
Again, this review represents my honest opinion and personal experience with the company.
