This hair is such a let down

This hair is such a let down. I bought the waved hair. I don’t know what was in it but it was so dry and I’ve barely had them in a little over a week & they feel awful. I’ve worn extensions for years, I only decided to give this company a try because it’s local and I love to support local businesses. My hair dresser and I both were hesitant on even installing after we felt them, they felt crunchy. We went ahead and I’ve washed once and I can already tell they won’t last me but maybe a month. Very disappointing the return policy is no help to me at all 1300$ down the drain

Great Company

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for quickly resolving my concern regarding my recent purchase. I truly appreciate your prompt attention to the matter, and I am pleased with the way it was handled. Laced values its customers, and this positive experience has reinforced my trust in your brand.

Terrible quality, terrible customer service, look at another brand.

I received Laced Hair extensions as my second pair of hand tied extensions. For a little background, the first brand that I received was Bombshell, and it was simply amazing. It looked and felt like my real hair and I got a ton of compliments on it. While I wasn't perfect, I did take care of these extensions well. Braiding them every night, used the recommended leave in at night treatments, I created my own dry shampoo with arrow root powder, corn starch, cocoa powder, and tea tree + peppermint essential oils, and I wash my hair once every two to three weeks. The ONLY reason I stopped using these extensions was because my hair actually outgrew them. My stylist still uses this as practice hair. They were 16 months old.

Fast forward to purchasing my next set of extensions. The salon my stylist worked for partnered with Laced Hair and raved about their extensions. I was going from 20" to 24" extensions (I actually got 25s cause that's what Laced offered for a length and we figured why not go longer) and though the price tag was heftier for Laced I was actually pretty pumped to try them as my wedding is coming up. Boy, was I disappointed.

My hair is black, which I'm told is one of the simplest hair extensions you can get because they don't need the extra color treatment that blonde extensions do. I was told the seal on these lasted a long time and they were supposed to become more and more like my hair the more I wore them. (Convenient there's only a 14 day return policy). After the first tie in, I noticed a lot of hair shedding when I brushed it. It was shiny and straight, would not hold a curl. I braid my hair every night, go to work with the waves and this is usually my go to style. But with these by the end of the day they were bone straight. I chalked this up to the seal still being intact on the hair. Over the course of the next almost four months with these extensions, I found a pink strand of hair, a red strand, and a blonde strand on different occasions. My stylist toned them after my first 10 weeks so that they would hopefully be a cooler toned black and get rid of any other pieces of the extensions that weren't black. At this point they had been washed probably 5 or 6 times, which as I said earlier was actually more than I would typically do in a 10 week period, but I wanted to get the seal off this hair and start loving it. That time never came. It was stringy and thin on the bottom, it was always very shiny, almost plastic looking. Remember braiding your barbie's hair when you were younger and after taking it out it wasn't a pretty braid wave it was like a straight almost greasy looking strand with a couple bumps in it? That's what this hair looked like. I literally only liked it after a fresh wash and blow dry, and that lasted for about 12 hours. Now I'm not an expert but I was told that I would be a great client for extensions since you aren't supposed to wash them all of the time. I ended up begging my stylist to take these off of my head after attending a concert where I was unable to do ANYTHING with them. I had to wear it in a pony tail and was in tears about the money I had spent on something that I hated.

These extensions were almost double the price of my previous one. (Yes they were longer but still) I spent $1200 on JUST this hair. Now, this is nothing that my stylist did. The first time these were sewn in on my head, they were fresh out of the package, she hadn't altered them in any way. I used the same Kevin Murphy shampoo that I was using on my previous extensions. I mentioned previously that my wedding is coming up. I love the look that hair extensions give when they are of good quality. I desperately wanted them for my wedding. I decided that I was going to trash these and go for a whole new set from a different brand not even four months after getting the Laced extensions. (My stylist went out on her own so we had a lot more options now). We were in crunch time for my bridal shower and bachelorette trip coming up so we figured we'd reach out to Lacy at Laced hair later and went with a new brand. Best decision I ever made, I'm obsessed with the new brand.

We did raise the issues with these extensions to the salon owner where I received them and were blatantly ignored; so going directly to the company was our only option. There was absolutely no consideration given to my situation. They didn't ask to see the hair, there was no taking any accountability for their product. I'll reiterate here that a 14 day return window on hair that is supposed to get better over time as I was told, is crazy.

Not impressed with quality or customer service here. I hope they needed my money a lot more than I did (doubtful, paying for a wedding here). I don't intend to get anything from this review, other than to save someone else the heartache that I went through and their pockets as well. If you're considering extensions, look elsewhere.

Poor quality

I’ve been in IBE extensions for almost 5 years and tried many different brands. I was actually a model for this brand and was so excited! Unfortunately, the hair has been a big let down. It doesn’t plump up and match my hair texture like others, it doesn’t hold a curl well and see to get knotted rather fast. Honestly, it doesn’t feel like it’s 100% real human hair… it has a lot of synthetic similarities… 😬

Received bad product

Received bad product. Reached out to customer service to question their product. Was questioned on every possible thing from my products to my care to my installation time to find out that I could quite possibly have received bad hair.
At the price I paid, and what I pay for installation and removal, the only solution is to have it removed and send it in with a free label on a chance the quality will find something wrong with it.
I have used other brands in the past. I loved Laced colors, but quality is lacking. Hair feels like straw, looks unnatural, will not dry with my Dyson Airwrap or curl with it either! You are selling bad product without remorse and that makes for bad business! I truly hope you change your ways or your product, because this is a huge investment for people!

By far the best hair extensions out…

By far the best hair extensions out there. I’ve worn extensions for over 15yrs and have tried every brand. My hair always lasts about a year and still looks good, which is definitely not the case with other brands. I am frequently asked what brand I use because the quality is just unmatched. If you’re going to make the investment on extensions, this is the hair you want.

I have been going to the Laced Salon…

I have been going to the Laced Salon for 3 years and have loved it!! I feel so grateful I have found the salon for me. It’s so beautiful in there and they treat me so well. But even more than that is the quality of the service- my hair has never been better!! Even with extensions in, I have so much growth! The best hair you’ll find on the market too! I can go over a year without needing new hair. Worth the investment!! Cannot rave enough about this brand and salon!

I am baffled by how bad these extensions are. This company used to be great.
Both my sister and I have used laced extensions, however both of us bought have had the worst experience this year. We use different colors and we both bought around the same time....twice! We have decided it would be better to buy cheaper hair, because the quality would be the same.
Don't waste your money. It's n of t worth the risk to end up with straw.

Really really bad quality hair

Purchased these through my stylist and they are absolute garbage!! This is really cheap hair and the same cheap quality you would find on Amazon but at triple the price. I had tape ins put in and after one week they tangled horribly and looked like doll hair. They 100% looked fake and nasty. My stylist thankfully agreed that they were trash and she took them out and found a better brand that she reinstalled for free, however it cost us both time and money which is unacceptable. Look elsewhere if you are looking for quality extensions.

I would go to anyone but Eden

I would go to anyone but Eden, I spent about 4-5k in her chair and she was so rude and acted like she was the best of the best. She did seem to have personal things going on so I tried to be understand however she lets it interfere with her job. I get it that life sucks but she was so rude to me and just didn’t even care how much time and money I spent in her chair. I was just another number not a person with feelings. I was only being charged 100 until I went to her and they were suppose to honor the 100. But she didn’t and another time I was suppose to get half off. But she didn’t, she said sorry it’s policy. She is young and has very little or lack of knowledge when it come to sympathize with her clients. Then another time she made an appointment without getting my credit card and I called 2-3 days later and I canceled my appointment at 1pm because there was a miss communication of what I needed but by 2pm I decided never mind let’s do it so I called back and they still had my appointment available so when I went to rebook they said okay we need a credit card. But I was and have never been asked in the 3 years I’ve gone there. It was fine I just wasn’t in a place I had it handy, I asked to call Monday and they insisted that I have to give it to them. I was never aware nor was I asked before and literally within an hour of canceling and rescheduling all
Of a sudden the policy changed and when I asked to speak to a manger or someone they told me
No one was there. Then Eden got on the phone and made it seem like oh okay we’ll make sure it’s taken care of then shortly after I got a text on Istagram, not a phone call, but she wrote to me about how she felt I was being unprofessional. Ironic if you ask me. And never took accountability for her mistake. But also she cut my real hair when she did my extensions. I had to go back 3 times to get adjustments or things fixed. I love laced but I would avoid going to Eden.

Terrible quality

These were the WORST wavy extensions I have ever purchased. I wore them for less than a week. They would not dry wavy, or keep a curl. Honestly felt like horse hair. Do not waste your money. I tried everything to get them to work. Complete waste of money.

Hi Jessica, I'm so sorry to hear about your bad experience with our Waved hair. Since hair extensions are an organic product it is possible to get bad batches, which it sounds like you are experiencing. We'd love a chance to make this up to you. If you could please send me your order number I can get it to our customer service team to begin working on a resolution.

WORTH YOUR READ- SAVE YOURSELF FROM A…

WORTH YOUR READ- SAVE YOURSELF FROM A TERRIBLE COMPANY! LOOK AT MY PICTURES. I am so sad to write this post as I was so so excited to get my hair done at laced hair salon. I went in for a consultation where they told me the cost of hair I would need for my current hair length and thickness. They also told me about the installation fee and I agreed to that. At my appointment she (Amanda w.) put in the hair she stated would be good for me. After the hair was already in she told me it didn't look good and I would need MORE hair. I should have stopped her at that point and had her take out the hair and leave. But I was so excited for extensions that I believed adding more hair would make it look right. First they didn't tell me how much the additional hair would cost until after I went to check out and pay. She put in the extra hair and cut and blended it. She thinned out my own hair quite a bit. She told me she thinned it and blended it the most she felt comfortable with and I trusted her it looked better. I felt a little stuck but I had to leave right away because I had to pick up my kids so I didn't examine the back of my hair after she said it looks good. I trusted them that the hair looked good. I was shocked at the price point when i checked out to leave but the hair was already in and I had to leave. I was mortified when I got home to see that I had paid almost $800 for horrid hair. There was a straight line of my own hair and then the extensions right under it. There was no blending. I would have needed probably 2 more bags of hair for it to even blend well. This would have meant my original quote in the consult should have been well in the thousands. If I would have known that I would have declined their service because it would have been out of my budget. I can't believe a trained hair salon specialized in extensions wouldn't know this and HONESTLY tell me how much hair I would need for it to look right and to look like the pics they advertise. I felt so deceived and sad. I called to talk to the stylist and they told me to DM her on Instagram, she wouldn't talk to me on the phone. I sent her a nice message saying it didn't look right and I wasn't sure what to do next and she then BLOCKED me and never responded. So I asked to speak to managers. All they told me was they don't do refunds and I can't give back the hair. Their fix for this was for me to come in so they could cut away and thin my hair. The stylist already did that and told me she had thinned it to the max she felt comfortable with. I didn't want my hair thinned and cut away more so they said I would have to BUY more hair for it to look right. WOW. That was incredibly out of my budget so I couldn't do that. I tried and tried for and no one would respond nicely to me or ever even acknowledge that my hair job looked horrid. I tried to talk to the owner many times on the phone and they always told me she can't come to the phone. So finally I found her on instagram and messaged her until she would respond. The owner finally said she was refund me a portion of it ($390) and never did. So I ended up having my bank dispute the charge so I could get the money back she said she would give me. She declined the dispute and didn't give any funds back to the bank. She (or whoever handles their disputes) also submitted a fake receipt along with my original receipt that they were stating was mine to wrongly prove that I was a prior happy customer and never tried to get a refund in the past. Guys, this is fraud as she used this to win the dispute in her favor. I attached photos for you to see. The one for $789 was mine and the one for $368 is some random receipt with my same card digits. I still haven't seen a dime. So so sad with the service of this company. I had to have my husband remove the hair for me the next day because of how bad they looked. I couldn't work or go in public feeling good about myself. I cant speak to the quality of the extensions because I didn't have them in for more than 30 hours. However they did bleed color in the shower and smelled very strongly of chemicals. Which I have read is a common complaint of other customers. Ive had extensions in the past from another stylist and company and LOVED them, they did an incredible job so I do know what good extensions are. And you should not have to have your hair styled and curled by an iron for them to look good. Great extensions looks flawless and blended even when air dried. SEE PHOTOS ON YELP.

Online Education through Laced was 100% worth the investment.

I was so happy when I learned that Laced Hair was providing online education. During COVID and being out of work it is nice to be able to refresh and continue your education in the safety of your own home. The presentation was amazing, I was super impressed. I learned so much that I didn’t learn in past extension classes. I will definitely be taking future education from Laced Hair!
