I would give it a 0 but not on the…

I would give it a 0 but not on the scale. They scheduled a service time window with tech me but they did not show. The service rep said they have no policy in their company that says if they did not find a service tech for your scheduled appointment. And that you can only wait at the end of your scheduled window to find that they are not going to show. In my case I called at the end of 4 hour window and was informed they never sent a technician. Very bad service.

No show 4 times and no one answers the phone

Third appointment they never showed up for.
Waiting to see if they show up for 4 th appointment.
I've called 6 times and no one has answered the phone or called me back when i left a massage.

I scheduled an appointment online

I scheduled an appointment online, and the technicians assigned to my order were changed twice. Then, at 9:23 PM, I was told I needed to change my appointment time. This is unacceptable, especially since I am dealing with theft and vandalism to my vehicle and was depending on this service.

I paid over $100 and made no changes to my appointment, yet the lack of consistency and communication left me without the service I needed. This experience has been extremely frustrating, and I will be reporting it to Xfinity and seeking a private contractor instead.

AWFUL

AWFUL! DO NOT USE! there is no guarantee that a tech will ever attend to your scheduled service. Especially for cove installations. It is incredibly frustrating to simply get a straight answer from their customer support. They also will charge the installation fee and mark your job complete without ever dispatching a technician. I am in the process of getting a refund which has been proven to be difficult.

This company canceled 2 scheduled appointments. I give them a 0-F for dependability, reliability and customer service.
I would not recommend this company to anyone or use the products of anyone that partners with this company like Cove security system.

If I could give a 0 I would. This company seems like a scam. I tried to use them through American Home Shield (AHS) to install smart thermostats for me since July 1st. The first tech claimed his car broke down 15 minutes before he was supposed to be at my house. I have rescheduled SEVERAL more times since then and ALL were no shows. I called AHS which was useless and HelloTech will just keep rescheduling. No, info on technicians that canceled except to act like oh well lets try again. They book. Their techs accept the booking then just don't come. Busy is not an excuse for this behavior. Today, August 3rd, was the last chance I was giving them. Of course the tech no showed after they sent me an email saying that a tech was on standby and could make it at noon.

Couldn't mount sound bar

We contracted with Hellotech to mount a TV. The order was taken wrong. They thought I had the parts to mount the sound bar.

It has been two weeks and the job isn't done. After three frustrating, 30 minute phone calls and multiple emails, I found out they don't carry parts to mount sound bars. I am getting a refund for the work they couldn't do.

Stay away from them.

Terrible

Terrible! They cancelled and rescheduled my appointment 12 times!! I called for a tech on Friday and asked for someone on Saturday between 9-1. When no one contacted me, I contacted them and was told they couldn't find a tech in my area. I expanded the time frame to 5 and tey said they would escalate the request, but at 3:32, they still do not have a tech. They advertise any where, anytime, but obviously they are understaffed and make promises they can't keep while continuing to take your membership fee.

This company is a scam, BEWARE!!!!!!! I scheduled an appointment. They charged my credit card immediately. They will steal your money

We requested that a Ring security system be installed, along with two cameras. Company sent out an incompetent technician who ended up having to leave midway through the job , saying he had to get to his other workplace. He did not finish installing the system, nor did he even start on the two cameras. Only one of the eight door sensors for the security system was correctly installed. The other sensors were either incorrectly installed or not installed at all. It's impossible to get ahold of anyone at the company. When I finally did get a response, they offered a 20% refund ($65.60) on the $328 job. Two cameras were not even touched ($229) and the $99 security system was not functional. So I paid $262.40 for nothing!!! I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I'm stunned that this company has any decent reviews. They are scam artists who deserve to go out of business. The 1.11 star average rating from 122 people on BBB is a more accurate assessment of this company.

Stay as far away from HelloTech!!!!

Better customer support. They don't care about the customer. I filed a complaint immediately and got no response. By the time I finally got ahold of someone the 30 day cancelation had passed and I was told there was nothing they could do.
The installer left a mess everywhere. I neglected to remove 2 bolts from the old mounting and he complained about it then asked me if I wanted hime to remove them and I said of course then after he left he charged me another 150 bucks! If he had told me that was the case I would have removed them myself! HelloTech is the worst company I have ever worked with! I sent them pictures of the job and complained about the installer and all they said was thank for letting us know but nothing. I've been trying to get out of the contract since day 1! Stay away the only what your money and don't care about single bit about you or the job they do. They just take your money!

Don't use this company

I booked this company to install security cameras inside and outside of my home. It was only supposed to be a hold in that amount however it was deducted and now they are saying they did refund me however nowhere in my bank records show such thing even contacted my bank and they didn't see any refund. I have now have to file a dispute through my bank in effort to recover my money!! Totally got scammed and the audacity to lie even steal from me is horrible.. I warn you do not use this company
