Lovely experience at the Watford store…
We had a lovely experience choosing my wedding dress and my bridesmaid dresses at the Watford store. Even when the company went into administration before all my dresses had arrived, the staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. My one criticism is that it seems part of the business model to push you to buy a dress that’s too big - as they make a fortune on alterations- which they have now cancelled due to administration. But can’t fault the staff in the Watford store.

Princess for the day at David's Bridal Birmingham
I was helped to find my dream wedding dress in David’s Bridal Birmingham, and I cannot recommend it enough. The shop itself is overwhelming in the sense that it has everything you could ever want as a bride to be. They cover everything from the dress to veils, shoes, hair accessories, pyjamas, tiaras and bridesmaid dresses.
I cannot overstate how beautiful the wedding dresses are in the store and how many stunning style there are. I had a style advisor called Vaishali who was fantastic at her job. She made me feel completely at ease and nothing was too much trouble. She went out of her way to establish my style and was able to absolutely smash it out of the park with the accessories she brought for me to try on with the dresses. She involved me with every part of the process. She explained the pros and cons of the dresses I was looking at and gave me invaluable advice. I feel so lucky that I was able to spend the day with her as she made it all feel so effortless. However, all of the staff were amazing and accommodating and made me feel like I was with a friend. They make choosing your wedding dress a very special experience.
Birmingham store - save your stress levels and AVOID !!!!
I went and picked my dresses end of summer, Lydia’s served us and was extremely helpful ! I booked an appointment for November with my group to go back and get sizing sorted and everything ordered . 
To say it was a bad experience experience is an understatement. 
The girl who I was assigned to was 25 minutes late and clearly had no idea what she was doing. After 40 minutes of trying in the dresses and getting sizing all sorted out she told us that the colour was discon in the flower girl and junior bridesmaid dress . She then proceeded to bring out different dresses that were available and then afterwards realised they weren’t ! She then proceeded to tell me to change my whole colour scheme and kept bringing dresses that were completely not what I wanted ! I appreciate the colour being discon is not her fault but it was handled appallingly! 
After two hours I ended up settling with flower girl and junior bridesmaid dresses that I didn’t want but felt pressured as dresses seemed to be changing availability every minute ! 
After two hours she had another appointment and handed me over to a colleague who turned out to be Lydia again. She could clearly see I was upset and was very lovely . I asked to check the order to ensure everything was correct and it turned out the girl had ordered the wrong adult dresses !! We left very upset and frustrated so my mum reached out to the customer service team who are based in America , they came back to us within 24 hours to advise that the dresses I originally  wanted were available and that Birmingham were wrong ! They American team contacted the store and got everything swapped so couldn’t thank them enough! 
I wish it ended there! We were told 15 week lead time which was still 6 months before the wedding so plenty of time . The dresses then began to deliver individually which I was not told! The first came two weeks before Christmas to say that the first dress was there and it had to be collected within two weeks . And then a week after the Christmas came the next. This meant multiple 120 mile round trips . Multiple ignored emails and calls ! Eventuallly the manager Shannon got things sorted . 
I really wish that was it but the two adult bridesmaids dresses are atleast a size too big so I am having to pay out to get those altered also but sorting this myself as couldn’t think of anything worse than returning to David’s bridal Birmingham. 
Please avoid the stress !!

Went for 2 separate appointments on the same day and they couldn’t have been more different. My friend had a bridal appointment first. The Stratford shop was rammed, the “assistant” was late for it and was as much use as a chocolate teapot when she did show up. She kept disappearing off, didn’t help my friend into any dresses, offer any advice or make any suggestions. The hour long appointment lasted all of 25 minutes before we gave up. Karolina didn’t even notice. If I could, I’d give her zero stars.
We went back an hour later for a bridesmaids appointment and the experience couldn’t have been more different. Shazmin was amazing - nothing was too much trouble and she had a smile on her face the entire time.

Excellent Birmingham store visit
Visited the Birmingham store to shop for bridesmaid dresses. Vaishali was extremely helpful in explaining the different materials, colours and styles available. Overall, an excellent experience.

Bridal and Bridesmaids Appointments
We had appointments for bridal and bridesmaids in the Glasgow store and we had the most magical experience. We ended up saying yes to all of our dresses which was a huge bonus to the day. We were helped by the absolutely lovely Kirstin and her knowledge and support made us all feel so at ease. The lovely tradition they do when you find your wedding dress was so special! Can’t thank Kirstin and all the staff in the store enough for making our day so amazing!
Traumatising Experience
I would give zero stars if I could. It has been a traumatising experience from start to finish and completely ruined my wedding.
I went in for alterations and what I asked for was really not that complicated. All I wanted was bigger cups and a bit more embroiding in the front to cover the modesty bits.
Came back, and all of a sudden my dress was covered with lining on the inside?!?! They then asked me to come back 4 weeks later, promised to have it fixed. But when i went back the lining was out but I had the originial cups back in the dress that they knew were way too small!
I was meant to take the ferry the following day to set off for my wedding (we re getting married in Germany) but had to change my ticket to go back AGAIN in the hope they would get it right this time.
The dress is far from what I wanted but I'll just have to accept it now knowing that I will not have the princess wedding dress I always dreamt off.
The staff were really nice and apologetic but that doesnt make the disappointment about having to wear this dress on my wedding day any lighter.
I spent 8 hours in total traveling to and from Watford, had to take 4 days off work, not even taking into consideration the diesel it has cost me for all these trips.
I have been promised a call from a store manager but nothing has happened.
Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere, Davids Bridal have completely and utterly ruined my wedding for me

Much the same as all the other reviews on here - to be specific, 
my issue was with the Stratford Westfield store but I assume the issues they have are cultural within the business. Appalling service, awful company. My now wife went there to try on wedding dresses ahead of our wedding and the staff were repeatedly rude to her. Her bridesmaid took the dress back to the store for resizing with the staff once again, impossibly rude. Not wanting to put either of them through that again, I went to collect the dress. They couldn't find it. I was probably there an hour or so before they finally found it and acted like I should be delighted they had bothered to look. Honestly, I would recommend literally anywhere else before this place.

Doing this review for my wife to be. My fiance was fitted for a dress back in January for our wedding at the beginning of July, dress only gets delivered to store in May. The dress she was fitted in was a size 24, she is a size 14 so to my mind regardless of all the tweaking is not going to produce a well fitted end product. Even after all the alterations, the seamstress who attempted to make it right has ended up saying that she should be given a full refund for the price of the dress which tells me there's something seriously wrong. Now a week until our wedding my wife to be has an ill-fitting dress and no alternatives to find something as a substitute in the time left before the wedding. The refund is small compensation for a disappointed bride to be. Why is it I can go get 4 suits from a shop and they can be altered in a week yet this lot (apparent professionals) have got this horribly wrong. My own first interaction with staff there wasn't the best either, rather rude in my opinion. Not impressed
Why book an appointment
Booked an appointment for my daughters prom. Received a phone call from Sarah to confirm the booking same day. When we arrived my daughter filled in the required form. We asked if we could browse until Sarah or whoever was available. Had a brief look couldnt really find anything. We then sat back down & receptionist asked if we were ok. I confirmed we had an appointment booked at 7. She went away & came back & tried to assist herself. My daughter tried on a couple of dresses none of which were suitable. In that time we saw staff running around & offering assistance but sadly not to us. We left with no one asking us if we were ok or if we needed any help. Very disappointed at lack of service provided for what should have been a magical experience

I recently bought my prom dress from the flagship store in Stratford and the service was amazing! Zach was really very helpful and patient and I was able to find my dress so easily with his help. I will definitely be back!

Watford store. FOR A STRESS FREE EXPERIENCE DO NOT USE DAVID BRIDAL, BRIDES BEWARE, after a bad experience with David bridal I am very upset. After a lot of searching I found my perfect dress in David bridal. The lady Kathleen who attended me was lovely, very attentive and helpful. A few simple alterations were needed, and I was told to take my dress home then return for a fitting. On returning for my fitting the alteration lady pinned my dress and I left it with them. A further appointment was booked to try dress on, this was cancelled by them 2 days prior due to lack of staff because of covid, they made a further appointment for 3 weeks later. I returned 2 days prior as I wanted to match my hairband with my dress, only to be told they couldn't find my dress. I was in tears. After an hour they eventually found it, but no alterations had been made! It was still pinned! the lady helping was very kind as I was in tears thinking they'd lost my dress. The managers were "too busy" to speak to us. With my wedding getting close I have bought my dress home and will have it altered elsewhere as I cannot risk it not being done or lost again. disgusting service! No apologies from manager, we got refund for the alterations we had paid for. FOR A STRESS FREE EXPERIENCE DO NOT USE DAVID BRIDAL.
Dreadful experience
What a dreadful experience we have had today at David’s bridal in Watford. No organisation at all!…. we hung around for 25 minutes after our appointment and after all that time, the assistant who was meant to be looking after us just kept wandering off with a clipboard. She had no idea of the stock and there were no dresses to try on in any colours that we liked as we wanted to see if they suited the girls… we were very clear that we were looking for nude/gold colours but she had no idea what she was doing and just stood in front of us and shrugged her shoulders …. Off she wandered and when she came back again and suggested that we buy black dresses!
Totally and utterly wasted an afternoon
