On 17 August 2025, I placed an order for a bicycle at fatbikeskopen.nl. About 20 minutes later, I cancelled the order by email (I send to them 2 emails about this) and by WhatsApp.
The seller initially falsely claimed that the bike had already been shipped (on a Sunday evening, which was impossible, and I never received any tracking number). Afterwards, they repeatedly tried to convince me to keep the order by offering a discount instead of cancellation, or by asking several times for the reason for cancellation. I am aware that under EU law I have the full right to cancel the order within 14 days without giving any reason.
Eventually, on 19 August via WhatsApp, they confirmed for the first time that the order would be cancelled. However: The cancellation was never processed properly via Klarna (the order still shows as “paid”). On 4 September, I received an email from the seller claiming they still had the bike in stock and could ship it to me, again offering a discount. I replied that I did not want it and once more asked them to cancel the order, then they asked again for the reason. After this the seller confirmed that a refund would be issued “within 15 business days.” The first deadline has already passed, but no refund has been made. On 18 of september the shop confirmed AGAIN the refund will be made, but there is still nothing!
I stuck after almost 2 months without a refund and under pressure to pay for an order that I cancelled immediately after purchase and invoice is still active in my klarna account.
This shop looks like a big scam, I’m still waiting for my refund back.
The seller blocked me on whatsapp! I’m going to the Police with this.
